No, really, these happen.
Logs
[18:22:00] <@Charm> *CRASH*! two girls find themselves in a heap on the ground, a narrow hallway in front of them.
[18:22:31] * Solitaire changes topic to 'Magical Burst: Beat Angel Escalayer… Mahou Shoujo Ai… Or whatever…'
[18:23:04] <Lapis> One of them isn't very comfortable. Maybe both? "Ughhh, my head… you okay, Red?"
[18:24:19] <@Charm> You both have magic, true…but very recently acquired. You haven't had a ton of time to experiment with it, and what little you *do* know never prepared you for this.
[18:24:19] <Lotte> Crash? Heap? That's no good. Simply no good. Lotte got to her feet and attempted to straighten out her skirt as best she could. However she got there, she was most displeased. The ground probably wasn't sanitary, either.
[18:25:40] <@Charm> Well it didn't look horridpy dirty…but it hadn't been cleaned recently either.
[18:25:50] <@Charm> Horridly*
[18:26:50] <Lapis> Feeling around, she felt for a large towel and dusted it off. It shook a bit as the blue-eyed brunette did so. "Phew! Can't have you getting covered in dirt on me." Helping herself to her feet she turned to the side. "You okay too?"
[18:27:43] <@Charm> "the two of you are fine~~…for now." There is the slippery thing that contracted the two of you. But you didn't expect to see it here.
[18:27:59] <@Charm> Black furred squirrels aren't exactly common.
[18:28:54] <Lotte> If it wasn't recently cleaned, then it most certainly WAS horribly dirty, thank you very much. Lotte's preoccupation with remaining neat had kept her from truly acknowledging Lapis until now, but being spoken to caught her attention. "I'll be fine. I wouldn't mind a neater floor, though."
[18:29:31] <Lapis> Lapis Lycoris, in her tan-orange hoodie and sandals gave off only a pout. Cutoff shorts? Sure, we can go there too. "O-Okay." She let out a breath. "So what is it this time?"
[18:30:58] <@Charm> "the two of you should get to know each other~…you two are almost like sisters, with your magic and all."
[18:33:34] <Lapis> "O-Oh, right! Sorry." A brief giggle came out as she looked up at where they came from, analyzing that before anything else. But after a quick glance she'd extend a hand with a grin. "You can call me Lapis, and this is Red." The rather large beach towel coiled along her arm and extended itself as a hand of some sort in front of the girl's own. "Let's find out where we are, uh…"
[18:35:10] <Lotte> The neatly dressed blonde with bright blue eyes looked the other girl over. She really wasn't very nicely dressed. C'mon, this isn't the beach. Lotte stared at the extended hand. When was the last time she washed that hand? Oh, the germs it must carry! She shook the hand as gingerly as she could, but ignored the filthy towel. That's just gross. "Pleased to make your acquaintance. My name's
[18:35:10] <Lotte> Lotte."
[18:35:47] <@Charm> "You are here. Because there is a threat I need you to look at. If you survive…I'll make it worth your time."
[18:37:03] <Lapis> Nod. Nodnod. She let go of the hand as Red dropped in disappointment. "Sure, but I got a competition to make it to in an hour— think we can make it kinda quick?" Her eyes pleaded with the creature.
[18:37:53] <@Charm> "Time…goes strangely here. You don't have to worry about that…only about what you are facing.
[18:38:26] <Lotte> Lotte eyed the little creature suspiciously. Worth her time? Unlikely. More importantly, the little creature probably had fleas. And parasites. Maybe even rabies. She made a mental note that the creature would never, ever touch her. "Too late to worry about doing it or not. Point us in the right direction." Emphasis on point. The mangey little beast didn't need to come.
[18:38:32] <Lapis> She shrugged. Red, climbing onto her shoulders, shrugged as well… somehow. "That's weird. Oh well then! Let's get started."
[18:39:50] <@Charm> "As you wish~" the tsukaima steps back…and the floor falls out from under you.
[18:40:44] <Lapis> Red fell under Lapis as well, instantaneously becoming as a platform. If the fall were any longer than a few feet she'd extend a hand to try to welcome the other girl onto the makeshift magic carpet as well, though that may just have been too much to ask for.
[18:42:07] <Lotte> Sudden freefall. Unfortunate, now way her hair and clothes would come out of that untouched. This had better be a short fall; if Lotte had to transform… well, she'd be pretty unhappy with the results.
[18:43:20] <@Charm> Lotte's fall was cut short by the towel floating in midair. Although its owner was quickly feeling the after effects of her stunt.
[18:44:03] <Lapis> The person extending the hand wasn't somebody dressed for the beach— okay just kidding, it was. Moreso than ever. Nothing covered her arms except the occasional bracelet here and there, and 'nothing' is hard to say because there were a good few of them. Beaded bracelets around her ankles as well. However, on her body was nothing except for what could easily be described as a prismatic…
[18:45:06] <Lapis> … chiffon bikini, perfect beachwear; it even had 'tails' down the back of the lower piece, giving the illusion that she was wearing a lot more than she was. Unbefitting to her age her hair was tied up into two pigtails now, just as wavy as usual, and adorned by beads as well. The color of her outfit changed by the second— and for the record, her sandals were gone.
[18:45:10] <Lapis> Foot fetishists get out.
[18:46:10] <Lapis> That said, Lapis herself didn't seem to notice the transformation as she held out her hand with the same intensity while the towel-carpet floated down softly, turning the fall into a steady descent.
[18:46:19] <Lotte> A scream escaped from her lips. No, that's an exaggeration, it was more of a squeak. The towel was pretty gross, but ti was better than becoming some kind of splattery mess on the floor. However far down that floor is. Reluctantly, she acknowledged the favor, "Well… It could be worse. Thank you, Lapis. And… are you aware that this is not a beach? Or a pool? You're dressed for the wrong
[18:46:19] <Lotte> circumstances."
[18:46:55] <@Charm> "That's quick thinking, Lap. You should probably take a lesson from her" the thing calls out as the two of you descend. It was a really long descent.
[18:47:56] <Lapis> "Hee hee. Well, that fuzzy thing never TOLD me I wouldn't be spending my time in beaches, either… but it'd be a little stuffy in here with a lot on anyway, wouldn't you think?" Giggling, she gave off a sweet smile. Her mind was focused on what was below, though.
[18:49:03] <@Charm> They really couldn't see much…but there was an ominous green glow coming from one side of the bottom of the hole. Lotte probably should get ready for whatever is down there.
[18:49:37] <Lotte> Hey, that thing was a lot less disgusting from a distance. Not like it could spread its disease through sound. Then again, it was magical, so maybe it could. Does that mean she caught some kind of viral earworm disease? The thought was terrifying. Consider it forcibly suppressed. Back to the girl whose towel she was riding. "I don't know, there's so many wild animals in beaches. And bugs.
[18:49:37] <Lotte> And garbage. And sand gets in stuff. And the water messes up your hair."
[18:51:46] <Lapis> She shivered a bit at that last one, didn't stop smiling though. And there actually wasn't much dust on Red as she'd cleaned it earlier, anyway. "Well, that's really nothing a quick shower can't fix, but I guess it's kinda annoying. Could be worse though: at least I'm not wearing a bunch of belts and zippers or anything, right?"
[18:54:09] <Lotte> Shower. That sounded really, really nice right about now. And most of the time. When could you possibly be more clean than in a shower? "I'd hate that. Keeping all the zippers closed or open together would be really bothersome. It'd be on my nerves all the time."
[18:55:10] <@Charm> The thing below is still there. And you can hear a gurgling, sloshing sound below you. It's a bit unnerving.
[18:56:34] <Lotte> Bit? BIT? You think gurgling and SLOSHING is a BIT unnerving? What planet are you from? Lotte's eyes were wide; she was visibly terrified. There was no doubt about it, they were falling to some kind of terrible, wet, gross mess. It'd take a miracle for her clothes to survive. And her hair. And her sanity. Maybe landing on the towel wasn't a bad idea, after all.
[18:57:17] <Lapis> "Hmmm." She put a finger to her cheek, leaning on it in thought. "You think it'd be more fashionable to keep them all open at once? I'd think it'd look cooler to have one open, then the next one closed, and so on…" After a bit of consideration she snapped out of it. "Oh, right! He said you have magic too, right? Maybe you should, uh, get ready." Lapis nodded at herself.
[19:04:22] <Lotte> Oh. Transform… No way around it, huh. This would be messy. Out of quite literally nowhere, winds picked up and tossed Lotte back and forth, keeping just over the towel. Fireworkesque explosions appeared all over her body, part by part. Following each colorful explosion, the area around it would twist and distort. First, her eyes ended up ridiculous colors. Worse than those self insert
[19:04:23] <Lotte> writers come up with; we're talking red and green. Like Christmas; clashing eyes? Terrible. Her blonde hair developed constantly changing streaks of different colors and shades, notably including purple and green at time. The clothing was even worse. Mismatched colors. Moreso, they were covered in varying designs at different parts. There were octopi, magical girls, swirls definitely was a
[19:04:23] <Lotte> cactus in there somewhere.
[19:07:33] <Lotte> "…I hate this costume, but at least there aren't any politicans' faces on it, this time."
[19:07:38] <Lapis> The transformation was treated to a light applause at the fireworks. Though upon being noticed, Lapis would silence herself and avert her gaze down below.
[19:07:47] <Charm> The two were as ready as could be asked of them…but the floor below them was dry, solid, and above all else…silent.
[19:09:41] <Lotte> The tension broke for Lotte, at least. She'd imagined the sounds, obviously. In fact, she started laughing, "I could've sworn we'd land in some kind of boggy, slimy, mess. There're definitely neater floors, but what a relief!"
[19:10:11] <Lapis> "I think it's pretty cute~ Might win a few contests, I bet." Self-nod. Shakily, she began to stand up as Red stabilized itself. "Okay… be careful."
[19:12:35] <Charm> There is a door to the side of the hole that they dropped in to. All they could see was…green. But the sound was back.
[19:13:14] <Lotte> Cute floor? …That's not so silly, but to call this one cute was pretty silly. Lotte's mood was decent, having been distracted from her terrible costume by the nondisgusting floor… but that might be about to change. She stared at the green; if it was slime, her mood was going straight to hell. "What is that, over there?"
[19:14:19] <Lapis> Not a bad color. With an "ally-oop" - "alley-oop?" - Lapis Lycoris would hop off her ride and attempt to help her supposed partner off— obviously, Red wanted the same thing, attempting to wrap around the girl's legs. It would do so as soon as Lotte was off.
[19:15:17] <Charm> *THUMP!* a pounding sound echoed across the space. And another!
[19:16:48] <Lotte> …Yeah, her mood was ruined. This time, Lotte's scream was a legitimate scream, no squeaking when the towel attached itself to her. Gross! "G-get it off me! This thing needs to go through the washing machine." She frantically shook her leg trying to remove it. What if it had towelrabies?
[19:18:37] <Charm> That was likely the least of her worries. The door was ripped off and a green ooze flowed out slowly, but stopped short of the two girls for now. And then it started moving. Two arm like appendages formed themselves out of the goo. Lotte would not be amused.
[19:19:22] <Lapis> Red instantly slinked back and rapped itself around its owner's lower body instead— there was a lot less, you know, clothing to get in the way there. "H-Hey, give Red a break, he's just trying to be friendly!" A sigh… and then a turn. She'd look down at the towel and nod.
[19:20:16] <@Lapis> 7/8/3
[19:20:22] <@Lapis> 7h8m3f even
[19:20:49] <Lotte> 684, treated as 884 for init
[19:21:07] <Lotte> To say Lotte was not amused would be a catastrophic misunderestimation. Lotte's eyes were wide and… glowing. Like Christmas themed lightbulbs. She backed away nervously. This thing better not touch her.
[19:21:11] <Charm> Okay. Lotte>Lapis>slimy
[19:21:42] <Lotte> 2d6+6
[19:21:43] <DiceMaid-9001> Lotte, 2d6+6: 10 [2d6=2,2]
[19:21:45] <Lotte> baww
[19:21:51] <@Lapis> u gonna get clashgrab'd
[19:22:13] <Charm> Nope. Static'd.
[19:23:36] <Lotte> She pointed a finger at the creature, then snapped her fingers. However, the sound it made was one of cracking fireworks. The slime might've shook a little bit, but whatever she attempted to do, it probably had very little effect. Visual or physical.
[19:25:26] <Lapis> The apparent swimmer next to her watched the failure and glanced over the creature, scanning it thoroughly. Or maybe not so thoroughly. Reaching a hand down, Red slinked up her legs - which of course, provoked a shaking and a "stop it, that tickles" from Lapis herself - and into her hand, forming into a cylindrical shape like a polearm of some kind. And at the end, an axe-head formed.
[19:25:34] <@Lapis> 3d6+7 I LOVE YOU SLIME
[19:25:36] <DiceMaid-9001> Lapis, I LOVE YOU SLIME: 16 [3d6=2,3,4]
[19:27:22] <Charm> 2d6+?
[19:27:23] <DiceMaid-9001> Charm, 2d6+?: 7 [2d6=6,1]
[19:27:30] <Charm> 1d6
[19:27:31] <DiceMaid-9001> Charm, 1d6: 1 [1d6=1]
[19:27:36] <@Lapis> inb4 it wins
[19:27:39] <Charm> Well it didn't hit.
[19:28:49] <Charm> Both attacks deal…almost no damage. Sure they may have hit, but merely hitting wouldn't be enough.
[19:30:08] <Lapis> And the attack consisted of a weak swing with the weapon which, sensing danger, quickly morphed itself back as Lapis fell over, becoming as a sort of cushion for her fall. As she stood up she patted it with a "thanks." Red swirled itself back along her leg.
[19:29:32] <Charm> 2d6+? -2 to lotte binding attack (sup)
[19:29:34] <DiceMaid-9001> Charm, -2 to lotte binding attack (sup): 5 [2d6=2,3]
[19:31:15] <Lotte> 2d6+8 okay, this should hopefully beat 3+?
[19:31:16] <DiceMaid-9001> Lotte, okay, this should hopefully beat 3+?: 15 [2d6=6,1]
[19:31:17] <Lotte> 1d6
[19:31:18] <DiceMaid-9001> Lotte, 1d6: 2 [1d6=2]
[19:31:41] <Charm> It was against a dc15
[19:31:44] <@Lapis> inb4 it had +!5
[19:31:48] <@Lapis> … Huh.
[19:31:53] <Charm> Thats the DC for a binding attack
[19:32:05] <@Lapis> oh wait, that was on both, wasn't it?
[19:32:19] <@Lapis> I was just reading that over this whole time, "why would there be a -2, that makes no sense"
[19:32:20] <Charm> Yeah. And it failed. Top of the round.
[19:32:32] <@Lapis> yeah, but I didn't save against it
[19:32:42] <Charm> Didn't have to
[19:32:45] <@Lapis> … Weird.
[19:33:11] <Charm> It needs to make the DC. Then you can roll to beat the binding
[19:33:28] <@Lapis> oh, right, whoops
[19:33:18] <Lotte> Yeah, like hell Lotte was gonna let it touch her. Waves of energy would splat the tendrils away if it came for her.
[19:34:44] <Lapis> Lapis glanced it over nervously. "U-Um okay, I don't know what it's doing. Be… be careful, okay?" Very cautiously she circled the creature, or the closest thing to, searching for an opening.
[19:34:46] <Charm> Whatever it was, it wanted them. And it didn't take a genius to figure out what it would do to then once it had them. But until then…they had to press on!
[19:34:51] <@Lapis> 873
[19:35:08] <Charm> Same turn order
[19:35:14] <Lotte> same array, dawg
[19:35:34] <Lotte> okay
[19:35:41] <Lotte> 3d6+6
[19:35:41] <DiceMaid-9001> Lotte, 3d6+6: 20 [3d6=6,3,5]
[19:35:48] <Lotte> 1d6 fuck yeah
[19:35:49] <DiceMaid-9001> Lotte, fuck yeah: 2 [1d6=2]
[19:36:03] <Charm> 2d6+? might get there…
[19:36:03] <DiceMaid-9001> Charm, might get there…: 6 [2d6=1,5]
[19:36:08] <Charm> Gets there
[19:36:17] <Lotte> 1d6+4
[19:36:17] <@Lapis> crush it like a tiny puppy
[19:36:18] <DiceMaid-9001> Lotte, 1d6+4: 9 [1d6=5]
[19:40:03] <Lotte> A vortex opened in front of Lotte. The air pressure of the room somehow increased to unpleasant levels, and ferocious winds blew, heralding the entrance of something from another realm. Something big, too big in fact to fit through, but that didn't stop it from attacking. A huge tendril of RED slime whipped out and cut into the green slime. It sizzled on contact, then withdrew into the vortex,
[19:40:04] <Lotte> which promptly closed, returning the room to normal.
[19:40:58] <Lotte> "That's twice as disgusting."
[19:41:25] <Charm> Be that as it may, the thing was reeling from the heavy hit.
[19:42:27] <Charm> The monster sees the pause in the action and summons a green wave to crash into the beach girl, presumably to drag her in.
[19:42:36] <Charm> 2d6+?
[19:42:37] <DiceMaid-9001> Charm, 2d6+?: 7 [2d6=4,3]
[19:42:47] <@Lapis> …
[19:42:48] <@Lapis> 1d2
[19:42:50] <DiceMaid-9001> Lapis, 1d2: 1 [1d2=1]
[19:42:53] <@Lapis> if you say so
[19:42:58] <@Lapis> 3d6+8 come at me bro
[19:42:59] <DiceMaid-9001> Lapis, come at me bro: 19 [3d6=5,3,3]
[19:43:04] <Adviceowl> Every time Dicemaid does that I think someone is casting a spell called "Charm"
[19:43:12] <Charm> Defense or clashing?
[19:43:14] <@Lapis> magic, so if it's resistant or has a huge + OH BOY
[19:43:19] <@Lapis> that's a clash though
[19:43:45] <@Lapis> means my oc's going up to 2 anyway
[19:43:48] <Charm> Roll damage then.
[19:43:55] <@Lapis> 1d6+2 ahkay~
[19:43:57] <DiceMaid-9001> Lapis, ahkay~: 8 [1d6=6]
[19:44:00] <@Lapis> eat it
[19:44:11] <Charm> It does. And it mad.
[19:45:50] <Lapis> Lapis wasn't too fond of waves that weren't blue. Or waves at all, actually, since surfing was only an occasional thing. Not like she didn't- okay enough of that, Red jumped up on its own as the girl cringed forming some kind of shield, which quickly re-morphed itself upon spreading the goo and became as a blade of some sort, bringing itself down. It returned to her leg quickly, provoking…
[19:45:56] <Lapis> .. another pat and a "Great job, Red!"
[19:47:16] <Lapis> She breathed a sigh of relief, taking a slight step backwards despite the towel clinging to her. Maybe it still had bits of goo on it. "Okay… this isn't so bad. We'll be fine."
[19:47:08] <Charm> Top of the round. Any changes?
[19:47:24] <@Lapis> 1h2m0f OC, yes?
[19:47:25] <Lotte> no
[19:47:34] <Charm> Yes.
[19:47:41] <@Lapis> eh, back to 783
[19:47:44] <Charm> Yes to lapis I mean
[19:49:42] <Charm> The ooze looks a bit damaged…but it still fights…or does it? The thing almost starts like it's retreating. It seems like there's less of it.
[19:54:09] <Lotte> 3d6+6 had to decide if OC was worth it
[19:54:10] <DiceMaid-9001> Lotte, had to decide if OC was worth it: 13 [3d6=4,2,1]
[19:54:20] <Lotte> inb4 static
[19:54:41] <Charm> 2d6+? defend
[19:54:42] <DiceMaid-9001> Charm, defend: 6 [2d6=3,3]
[19:56:04] <@Lapis> 4d6+7 okay, <3 u srime
[19:56:05] <DiceMaid-9001> Lapis, okay, <3 u srime: 16 [4d6=1,2,4,2]
[19:56:10] <@Lapis> doesn't <3 me though
[19:56:18] <Charm> 2d6+?
[19:56:19] <DiceMaid-9001> Charm, 2d6+?: 4 [2d6=3,1]
[19:56:20] <Lotte> The spots where the tendril from the vortex struck the ooze glowed red, as though heating up. Lotte closed her eyes in concentration, then staggered back as the glow disappeared before reaching dangerous levels. Ooops.
[19:59:17] <Lapis> "Alright, Red! Let's do that again!" With a grin, the swimmer pointed forward and Red lashed out accordingly— so quickly so that she tripped and fell on her back. Red canceled its onslaught to turn around at her like some sort of 'are you okay' gesture. At least it didn't have a face, that would make things creepy.
[19:59:11] <Lotte> it went full defense
[19:59:13] <Lotte> didn't it
[19:59:14] <Lotte> what a dick
[19:59:16] <Charm> Yep
[19:59:21] <Lotte> WHAT A DICKBAG
[19:59:33] <@Lapis> >high enough offense to go before both of us
[19:59:36] <@Lapis> >full defense
[19:59:37] <@Lapis> … wat
[19:59:43] <@Lapis> did it steal my effect or something?
[19:59:56] <Charm> No. It had a special ability.
[20:00:41] <Charm> One whose second half starts right now. :3c
[20:00:55] <@Lapis> yeaaaah
[20:02:32] <Charm> And then it happened. The ooze roared back, quickly filling the floor and rejoining the spare parts of the ooze having successfully trapped the two magical girls up to their waists.
[20:03:19] <Lotte> There's no roll to not be trapped?
[20:03:26] <@Lapis> we both whiffed
[20:03:33] <@Lapis> it's capitalizing on that
[20:03:40] <Charm> No. It traded that for a 2 turn attack and a resolve payment.
[20:04:21] <@Lapis> … Huh. Tell us about it when this is over then.
[20:04:35] <@Lapis> Do we get turns? If not, please describe tentacle rape in detail. Thank you.
[20:04:36] <Charm> Wilco
[20:05:52] <Charm> You each get your turns. But you have to either roll to get out or try attacking.
[20:06:10] <@Lapis> so if you attack you can't get out?
[20:06:35] <Charm> Yep. You can try to escape, or you can try to kick its ass.
[20:06:38] <Lotte> Escape imminent
[20:06:49] <@Lapis> okay, then while you do that I'm gonna initiate badassmode
[20:06:56] <@Lapis> 873, is it coming at me, bro?
[20:07:06] <Charm> It's your move bro
[20:07:11] <@Lapis> so I get to go at it
[20:07:12] <@Lapis> bro
[20:07:13] <Charm> Unless lotte wants to go
[20:07:16] <@Lapis> bro?
[20:10:01] <Lapis> "Aack!" Red was trapped just the same, smothered in ooze; Lapis shot an apologetic frown at the towel. "Holy crap… how are we gonna get out of this one?" With a bit of thinking to herself she snapped out of it again, wearing a grin that seemed appropriate for the way her face was designed. "… Alright. Just you and me— here we go! BUUUUUURST…" Struggling, she brought a hand forward.
[20:07:34] <Lotte> I assume I'll be rolling support to escape
[20:07:45] <Charm> You do.
[20:07:47] <Lotte> So, 468, treated as 668
[20:08:05] <Charm> Then lapis is first
[20:08:08] <@Lapis> I'm guessing slime doesn't beat me, so I'm actually gonna go straight for my weirdass finisher
[20:10:14] <@Lapis> You remember what I said about how it's done?
[20:10:25] <@Lapis> Any changes you wanna make to it before gotime?
[20:10:30] <Charm> Yep. We both roll until someone gets a 6
[20:10:39] <Charm> 1d6
[20:10:39] <DiceMaid-9001> Charm, 1d6: 6 [1d6=6]
[20:10:42] <@Lapis> really
[20:10:43] <@Lapis> 1d6
[20:10:44] <DiceMaid-9001> Lapis, 1d6: 3 [1d6=3]
[20:10:46] <Charm> You get nothing
[20:10:49] <@Lapis> yeah okay so get slimed
[20:10:54] <@Lapis> and have to go up to 2m anyway
[20:10:56] <@Lapis> FIGURED
[20:11:15] <Charm> Perhaps a little vibration caught her off guard?
[20:13:31] <Charm> A tickle. Then another. It kept continuing, the ooze shooting at her sensitive skin with needle like accuracy until any concentration she may have had was completely lost in a haze of uncontrollable laughter and giddy ecstasy.
[20:15:01] <Lapis> "… Ehehe. Hehehahaha, oh man, stop it Red— wait a sec, you're not Red!" She stared in horror… as did Red, as she realized it wasn't the towel brushing up against her. And was more or less totally out of comission as far as the battle situation went on her side. Good luck, Lotte~!
[20:16:42] <Lotte> Oh god. Ooze. Spilling KETCHUP was enough to send Lotte into panic. Needless to say, this thing was far, far worse than ketchup. Being waist-deep in the monstrous slime was like a personalized nightmare. Her scream made the scream from before look like a squeak, and the squeak before that look like a mute girl's ellipsis. "G-g-g-get AWAY!" The slime around Lotte would be buffeted waves by
[20:16:42] <Lotte> anger and distress put into the form of energy as well as struck by various sharp objects, such as knives and swords, as well as shovels and other digging tools attempting to free her.
[20:15:54] <Lotte> 3d6+8 allah help me
[20:15:55] <DiceMaid-9001> Lotte, allah help me: 21 [3d6=3,4,6]
[20:16:00] <Lotte> 1d6 fuck you
[20:16:01] <DiceMaid-9001> Lotte, fuck you: 2 [1d6=2]
[20:16:12] <Charm> You do escape though.
[20:18:13] <Charm> Nothing did damage to the thing. But she was able to extract herself out. And that was the important part.
[20:17:47] <@Lapis> WHEN WILL IT START DOING OC DAMAGE
[20:17:48] <@Lapis> COME ON
[20:18:30] <Charm> Now, in fact.
[20:18:40] <@Lapis> <3 u
[20:18:53] <Charm> How apt.
[20:19:05] <Charm> How much heart OC do you have?
[20:19:09] <@Lapis> currently 3
[20:19:13] <@Lapis> come at me bro
[20:19:14] <Charm> 1d4+1 take this much more.
[20:19:15] <DiceMaid-9001> Charm, take this much more.: 2 [1d4=1]
[20:19:19] <@Lapis> not very much
[20:20:46] <Charm> Lapis, on the other hand, wasn't as lucky as the poking and vibrating became progressively more powerful and clouding her mind, her heart being wrenched in ways it was never meant to be touched.
[20:22:10] <Lapis> And she flinched and curled up, shaking uncontrollably; it was probably more painful to look at than it was to feel. It's times like these where it's a good thing Red doesn't have eyes, huh? From her position came all sorts of moans and shouts as she struggled - unsuccessfully, as it stood - to escape.
[20:23:01] <Charm> Anyway. Top of round.
[20:23:18] <@Lapis> might even 837, but this thing doesn't prove itself very clashable
[20:23:19] <@Lapis> 873
[20:23:40] <Lotte> okay
[20:23:53] <Lotte> 864, treat as 10/6/4
[20:26:18] <Lotte> okay

[20:29:07] <Charm> 1d6
[20:29:08] <DiceMaid-9001> Charm, 1d6: 4 [1d6=4]
[20:33:20] <Lotte> Reality started to tell itself to go fuck itself. Everything wavered. EVERYTHING. Things suddenly changed. The ooze was water, then lava. Lotte spent a split second as a cactus. But slowly, the visible warping of reality started to converge towards the slime monster. Lotte shouted at the top of her lungs, "GET AWAY FROM US!" Her anger was starting to get out of control, her concentration
[20:33:20] <Lotte> slipped, and the ripple ready to rend the ooze from reality passed harmlessly through the it, colliding with itself at the slime's center and dissipating. Fuck.
[20:34:24] <Charm> 1d4+1 magic~
[20:34:25] <DiceMaid-9001> Charm, magic~: 4 [1d4=3]
[20:36:51] <Charm> Speaking of ripples, another wave of unspeakable energy roiled through Lapis, magic reacting violently to the ever-present and increasingly sensitive touches.
[20:35:58] <@Lapis> But uh, yeah, I'll just be over here with my 5m5h0f
[20:36:21] <@Lapis> Actually, what I'll do at the start of the rooooound~
[20:36:49] <@Lapis> I'm gonna use that effect and move 5h into support, meaning it has to take 1 extra
[20:36:54] <@Lapis> and you know what THAT means
[20:37:04] <@Lapis> Gonna attack with fury though, fuck escaping
[20:37:17] <@Lapis> so attacking and changing mid-turn, is your body ready?
[20:37:28] <Charm> We will see~
[20:37:37] <@Lapis> well, that was actually me asking permission to do it
[20:37:41] <@Lapis> but okay I guess that's a yes
[20:37:47] <@Lapis> that said
[20:37:54] <@Lapis> 5d6+3 OH BOY, DIDN'T EXPECT THIS DID YOU
[20:37:56] <DiceMaid-9001> Lapis, OH BOY, DIDN'T EXPECT THIS DID YOU: 15 [5d6=1,1,3,5,2]
[20:38:02] <@Lapis> because I SURE EXPECTED THAT
[20:38:30] <Charm> 2d6+? hope you like getting tanked
[20:38:30] <DiceMaid-9001> Charm, hope you like getting tanked: 7 [2d6=4,3]
[20:38:41] <Charm> Yeah you miss
[20:40:16] <Lapis> "Aaaah~ I KNEW I should've named it 'Shining Blue' instead…" Struggling to maintain her composure, Red rolled itself up and started moving. "Okay Red, here w- aaaack!" Nope, there it goes again. She fell on the floor giggling— if Red could sigh it would.
[20:43:05] <Lotte> okay
[20:43:12] <Lotte> I'm fury changing
[20:43:26] <Lotte> murderspasms PLZ

[20:46:28] <Charm> No. +9. You hit
[20:46:43] <Lotte> 1d6+2
[20:46:44] <DiceMaid-9001> Lotte, 1d6+2: 3 [1d6=1]
[20:46:47] <Lotte> fuck you
[20:48:54] <Lotte> Terrifying, this thing was terrifying. What was it doing to Lapis? Lotte put her almost overwhelming anger aside, a decision that would come to haunt her later, and got to summoning up new waves of anger. A large vacuum appeared in her hands, she pointed it at the slime and hit the power. Surprisingly, it began shooting darts rather than sucking. They might not be terribly deadly, but it was
[20:48:54] <Lotte> something.
[20:49:25] <Charm> Lapis want to try attacking or anything?
[20:49:32] <@Lapis> you bet, that's what the 8 is for
[20:49:37] <@Lapis> 3d6+8 all or nothin'
[20:49:39] <DiceMaid-9001> Lapis, all or nothin': 21 [3d6=6,3,4]
[20:49:44] <@Lapis> 1d6 looks like all

[20:50:11] <@Lapis> good
[20:50:12] <Charm> Is that 6 and6 or 7 and 5?
[20:50:20] <@Lapis> 7/6/3
[20:50:23] <@Lapis> mhf
[20:50:27] <Charm> Okay
[20:50:41] <@Lapis> 1d6+4 ALL OF MY PAIN AND SO- oh wait this is magic, just get hit by a towel then I guess
[20:50:42] <Solitaire> 2d6 eating bad luck for a change? Yah.
[20:50:42] <DiceMaid-9001> Lapis, ALL OF MY PAIN AND SO- oh wait this is magic, just get hit by a towel then I guess: 6 [1d6=2]
[20:52:28] <Lapis> "Aaack- you're pretty good at this, Mr. Slime! Aaaaaalmost better than Red is…" With a giggle, her outstretched hand was finally responded to and grasped Red's edge, the towel forming into a mallet much bigger than its usual form. It went without saying that it was immediately smashed into the creature as Lapis set herself free— or tried to. "Just kidding~! Y'really think I'd say that, Red?"
[20:54:06] <Charm> It didn't. But she didn't manage to get her way out. The ooze was almost defeated, and decided to take the two girls with her.
[20:54:26] <Charm> 1d4+1 size of magical burst
[20:54:26] <DiceMaid-9001> Charm, size of magical burst: 5 [1d4=4]
[20:54:34] <Charm> 12 magic :3
[20:56:17] <Charm> Have fun blowing up the world.
[20:56:45] <@Lapis> did u rly
[20:57:07] <Lotte> IT is bursting or it's making LAPIS burst?
[20:57:12] <@Lapis> ^
[20:57:16] <Charm> It's making her burst
[20:57:21] <@Lapis> … oh damnit
[20:57:22] <Solitaire> Popping a loli.
[21:00:20] <Lotte> 5d6+6 Let's see, change or burst, I'm thinking the latter
[21:00:21] <DiceMaid-9001> Lotte, Let's see, change or burst, I'm thinking the latter: 22 [5d6=4,3,1,4,4]
[21:00:25] <Lotte> are you joshing
[21:00:28] <Lotte> I missed it by ONE
[21:00:29] <Lotte> REALLY
[21:00:36] <Charm> Missed by 2
[21:00:40] <Lotte> EVEN BETTER
[21:00:44] <Lotte> douchebaggery
[21:05:09] <Lapis> "… Aaah." She began shaking more, and more, and more until she looked like somebody being possessed in one of those B-horror movies. It was held back only by a few grunts as an attempt to call out to Lotte to run, but it didn't do much. She'd already felt too much from the creature. "Hang on tight, Red…" Suddenly, from behind them, to the side— all sides, in fact, immense amounts of…
[21:05:41] <Lapis> … water poured into the room, or more accurately were tossed at them from the ground. Tidal waves. How they made their way into such a room was a story nobody should ever ask, but magic managed to pull it off.
[21:07:45] <Charm> the water was powerful. more than enough to sweep both the ooze and Lotte off their feet and slam them into the nearest wall. the former was destroyed quickly, the latter was thankfully just knocked out
[21:09:57] <Lotte> Ouch? Hard to tell, the attack was probably sudden enough that Lotte was unconscious before she could feel it. When and if she woke up, though, that'd be a different story. She'd be really displeased, too, considering her attire, now returned to normal, was absolutely ruined by the water.
[21:10:06] <Charm> "I see you two survived…sort of." The tsukaima is there…how that worked was anyone's guess. it's hard for Lapis to see straight, the ooze's assault on her still lingered.
[21:10:52] <Lapis> Breathing deeply, the swimsuit-wearer faintly rose and confirmed Red's safety first off. The towel wrapped around her leg as the first thing she looked for wasn't the decaying remains of the monster, but rather the girl who'd come with her— safety first. With a loud gasp she'd attempt to make her way closer until being stopped, considering she was limping fairly hard. Red didn't like that.
[21:11:57] <Charm> "you two oughta get back soon…"
[21:12:15] <Lapis> She staggered her way to the girl, pushing the tsukaima aside; stepping around it maybe. Over? Without a second to focus, Lapis placed her hands on the girl's stomach and began to do something only someone in her profession would be able to, despite her slipping consciousness. "Crap, this is my fault…"
[21:13:09] <Charm> "And how do you propose to fix that?"
[21:13:49] <Lapis> "The only way I know how." With a deep inhalation, the girl's lips met Lotte's. And they would again and again until she started breathing.
[21:14:36] <Charm> "Oh hoh hoh…you do realize she's not dying, yes?" the thing won't stop her.
[21:15:47] <Lapis> CPR was even more exhausting considering how little energy she had in herself, meaning collapsing was so much closer. "Did you…" Huff… "SEE all that water she inhaled? I learned that…" Huff. "I learned that.." … "That…" Red moved itself to provide a head-rest as she fell over forward, eyes barely open.
[21:17:53] <Charm> "Perhaps I'll just let you rest here…" the Tsukaima pads off. lots of other girls to contract…but the youma had been particularly adept in making that one explode. perhaps a few more…
[18:58:22] <@Lapis> Can only imagine GMcharm's face right about now
[18:58:29] <@Lapis> "Why do I always get stuck with the weirdo characters?"
[18:59:47] <Charm> I do worry. A little. But I can dish it out as well as I can take I-oh boy here we go
[20:52:54] <Solitaire> 2d6 dubs and we know DM's got the hots for me
[20:52:55] <DiceMaid-9001> Solitaire, dubs and we know DM's got the hots for me: 2 [2d6=1,1]
[20:53:03] <@Lapis> hahahahaha oh man, it WAS dubs
[18:34:07] <@Giantree> Whoosh. Actually, it was a bit more calming than that, if that were an appropriate word. It sounded more like the sound of moving waves. Tides. And three very uncomfortable individuals would soon find themselves awakening to a faceful of sand.
[18:38:22] <Karis_Valmere> "hrrg~" Karis opens her eyes blearily as she spits out the sand. The last thing she remembers…was that damned plant. She was too careless - too blinded by rage and hatred. But now what?
[18:38:48] * Audrey got some sand in her mouth from landing face first, she sits up and starts spitting it out.
[18:39:08] <@Giantree> Where they'd come from was a story for another time. Or maybe they didn't know? Just kidding, they probably did— the weather was warm though, and all of them would find themselves surprisingly dry upon awakening. At least, compared to the water they'd find behind them, brushing up against the shore they now stood on. To say nothing of the lush green expanse in front.
[18:39:12] <Lyre> Whoa… what happened? Confusion swept over Lyre, why were they by some ocean… or something? The girl spat out the sand and crawled to her feet, taking in her surroundings. A trip to the beach didn't sound terrible, but waking up with your face in the sand's not pleasant.
[18:39:18] <Audrey> "What the…" spit, spit, "hell is going on?
[18:40:09] <Karis_Valmere> "I…I don't know…" Karis was really scared. But she was herself. And just that fact put her at ease…for the time being.
[18:40:28] * Audrey spots the beach, "Thats pretty."
[18:41:04] <Lyre> Why would the other two people who woke up in the sand know any more than her? That was a silly question; this girl was apparently pretty silly. "What's going on? You don't remember?" Time for some fun.
[18:41:26] <Karis_Valmere> "I remember…something. But…I don't wanna talk about it."
[18:41:55] <@Giantree> Behind where they awakened, an ocean. An ocean just as big as most oceans usually are, expanding past the horizon— no boats were in sight. And in the other direction? Trees. Trees and grass— and plenty of it. A very soft noise came from in that direction, though it was a faint giggle and nothing more.
[18:42:31] * Audrey takes a look around, "An abandoned island maybe?"
[18:43:18] <Karis_Valmere> "I'm just glad to be alive…I think…" The girl hesitantly stands up and brushes the sand out of her uniform
[18:43:39] <Lyre> The dark eyed brunette looked at the other two, especially Karis, suspiciously. What exactly did they know? "You don't want to talk about it? And why would that be? You wouldn't happen to be involved with some illicit business leading to the necessity of our arrival here?"
[18:44:52] <Karis_Valmere> "It wouldn't. It's a personal matter." the green-eyed blonde snapped back.
[18:45:35] <Audrey> "I don't know I was skiing with my family and then I woke up here." She looks down and notices her attire was not a thick jacket but rather more normal clothes, "well thats wierd."
[18:46:29] <@Giantree> At the very least, nobody was dressed in anything excessively bulky. It WAS the middle of summer, after all… and on top of that, it was past 90 Fahrenheit easily. What more could one expect from being in a beach?
[18:47:00] <Karis_Valmere> "So…I'm Karis. Who are the two of you?"
[18:47:11] <Lyre> Lyre stared. Really intensely. She had a strong feeling that Karis was telling the truth; judging her wouldn't be necessary. So, they were in the same situation as her. That'd be okay. She would extend a hand to each of them in turn formally, "Well, in that case, my name's Lyre. Pleased to make your acquaintance."
[18:48:30] <Audrey> "My name is Audrey." Yeah she is starting to sweat she is definetely used to colder weather. "Its a bit hot don't you think?"
[18:49:04] <Karis_Valmere> "A little…maybe we can find some shade?" certainly none on this beach.
[18:50:05] <Audrey> "Yeah, sounds like a good idea."
[18:50:08] <@Giantree> A few steps ahead there'd be plenty, however, considering the thickness of the trees. It almost looked like it was a jungle not far from them. In addition, it almost seems like they could SWEAR they saw something peeking a tiny head out at them… but after a double-take nothing was there. Just trees.
[18:50:58] <Audrey> "Probably just a squirrel or a monkey." she says as she hurries to the shade.
[18:51:33] <Lyre> Hot out? Well, Lyre was dressed for the weather, with shorts and a plain tee shirt. Not exactly matching with the formal attitude she'd been displaying. "We'll put this discussion on recess and go to the shade, shall we?" Onwards, ho!
[18:52:11] * Karis_Valmere follows along…hopefully she can still call on her magic if it becomes necessary
[18:54:20] * Audrey sits on the shaded sand, "So whats the last thing you remember before being here?"
[18:55:01] <@Giantree> Right next to the shaded sand was shaded grass as the jungle thickened— but it was all shaded the same. Some would probably find sand slightly more comfortable.
[18:55:06] <Karis_Valmere> "Uh…big man eating plant. I think." Her memory is kinda hazy from the whole 'dying' thing.
[18:57:36] <Lyre> That's a good question. What DID she remember? Hmm… before hearing the waves, she remembered books. Oh, right. She'd been reading through some legal texts. A good deal of it went right over the 16 year old's head, but that wouldn't stop her from wanting to follow in her mother's legal footsteps. "I was reading some of my mom's books. Dry stuff, she has."
[18:58:42] <Audrey> "Huh? I didn't know those existed. Like I said I remember skiing and then I'm here in this beach, wearing different clothes too. This is all too wierd."
[18:58:43] <@Giantree> Yoink! Further ahead, something popped its head out, if anyone cared to notice. It was retracted sooner than anyone could make sense of what it was.
[18:59:06] <Karis_Valmere> "…why do I get the feeling we're being watched?"
[19:00:32] <Lyre> What in the world was that? It had to be real, this time. "Because we are. Something's trying to lead us in there, I bet, trap us like an intern lawyer in a loophole. Why else would we be here? That we just happened to wake up here for no reason and then some animal got curious is a bit of a coincidental stretch."
[19:01:47] <Karis_Valmere> "that's a good point…but how are we gonna do anything about it?" Kirin always told her to keep her magic hidden and not use it when she didn't have to. Same applies here right?
[19:01:59] <Audrey> "I don't know, theres lots of animals in rainforests and shuch, it could just be your imagination."
[19:03:03] <@Giantree> Yoink! Even further down it appeared again, if anyone was even paying attention. The leaves rustled as it went.
[19:03:30] <Lyre> Lyre stared Audrey dead in the eye. "Imagination's the greatest tool in the world; I wouldn't let mine get out of control. I say we lure IT out."
[19:06:27] <Audrey> "Maybe but Its a bit too farfetched to be anything other than a monkey at most."
[19:06:31] <Karis_Valmere> "And how do you intend to do that? Magic?"
[19:08:20] <Lyre> "Never eliminate something as a possibility simply because it's too far fetched! And how do I intend to do it? Well, magic is an option. Creating a plan's another."
[19:09:38] * Audrey rolls her eyes, "For crying out loud, I'll just go freaking get the monkey." She starts walking towards where the leaf rustling was a while ago.
[19:09:45] <Karis_Valmere> "Right. Because you're gonna pull out some trinket and mutter some magical incantation or whatever the fuck it is." Karis seems unamused. But inside, she's curious.
[19:09:50] <@Giantree> Rustle rustle. The path kept moving ahead while the group sat around. Meaning Audrey had something to catch up with.
[19:11:40] * Audrey kept walking towards it, no one else would so she might as well
[19:11:49] <Lyre> "If that's what it comes to, then that's what I'll do. Don't limit yourself so easily. If you have a better plan, speak now, because she's putting hers into action, and that works just fine for mine."
[19:13:49] <Karis_Valmere> "wait…seriously?" Karis will try and follow Lyre and Audrey but she didn't actually expect…were they?
[19:14:16] * Audrey is just extremely stubborn.
[19:15:24] * Audrey keeps walking towards the rusling.
[19:15:42] <Lyre> Lyre hung back. Way back. She advanced at a snail's pace, carefully watching Audrey. Her eyebrows raised in an… ambiguous gesture, "Seriously? Do I look like I'm being serious?"
[19:16:07] <Karis_Valmere> "not sure. But how serious were you about the magic thing?"
[19:16:44] <Lyre> "I'm as serious as everyone else is when they start talking about magic. Seriously, why are you dwelling on this?"
[19:16:52] <@Giantree> Could have been entirely. While the memories may have been somewhat fuzzy, all three of them had at least met their contractor— one who wasn't very fun to talk to at that. But… what did he look like again?
[19:17:18] <@Giantree> Though, it's easier to say each one had met 'a' contractor.
[19:17:26] <Audrey> A floating ball of fire with one eye.
[19:17:41] <Karis_Valmere> A five-eyed black dog
[19:17:50] <@Giantree> Right, that's what they look like. Some of them, anyway. Some are animals, some are eyes, some are walking bananas who shoot lasers from their tips.
[19:18:07] <Karis_Valmere> "I…never mind. Let's see what she found."
[19:18:37] <@Giantree> That said, the rustling ahead suddenly stopped. Though, the being watched feeling didn't for some reason.
[19:19:43] <Lyre> Obviously, it was almost ready to spring. That or something else… unusual was about to happen. Either way, Lyre still maintained a safe distance; it wouldn't do to be taken by surprise so easily. "Hey, see anything unnatural?"
[19:19:57] <Audrey> "Where is it?" She looks around anxious, opening and closing her fists.
[19:21:29] <Karis_Valmere> "could it be a youm-" the girl stops herself. She shouldn't be saying words like that…especially in front of others who may not be able to comprehend them.
[19:21:29] <@Giantree> "ohboywhatyallthinkyouredoindowntherenowcmon" rang a voice. It'd be pretty tough to call it a 'voice' because it was just a jumbled mumbling, if even that began to define it. Above them on a treetop was somebody who… wasn't familiar at all, actually. Only the fact that it WAS, actually, a monkey— it had a very human-looking gray beard accenting its dark gray fur, however. Somehow.
[19:23:23] * Audrey is completey unfazed at this, "See? I told you it was a monkey."
[19:23:24] <Karis_Valmere> "…that's weird. Anyone else see the talking monkey up there?"
[19:24:40] <@Giantree> They all did. And it saw them. "Whatymeanseetalknmonkeyidonsenotalkinmonkeyuphurinthsplace." It spoke with elegance and… okay, can't even joke about that. It actually hung off the tree as it spoke, letting its beard droop.
[19:25:39] <Lyre> Okay. So HE was here. That almost explained some things. "I should say the same. In fact, I'll be asking the questions here. Now, why are we here, and were you the one spying on us? Who are these two? Ignore them, answer my questions, please."
[19:25:43] <Karis_Valmere> "…" Of course. How did she not pick up on it earlier? "you two both have magic, don't you?"
[19:26:14] * Audrey points at him, "You are the monkey." and then turns back looking surprised.
[19:26:31] <Audrey> "Huh, looks like I'm not the only one."
[19:26:37] <@Giantree> "Thassright, yallreheretadosomemagic." It cocked its head at the monkey comment. "… Oright, ireallyamnowhuh, sorryboutthat."
[19:27:29] <Lyre> "Everyone has magic, Karis. It lies in imagination and thought. It's human nature." Man, this chick hadn't been appreciating these lines Lyre fed her. It was relatively amusing.
[19:28:16] <Karis_Valmere> "well…I mean you can *use* it. At least, more than normal people can. Only way you'd be able to see that thing."
[19:28:35] <@Giantree> Yaaaaaaawn. It climed back on the tree and lay on its back in a very unmonkeylike way. "Gudluckkids,imgonnatakeanap,begladisavedyallfrom-" zzzz.
[19:28:37] <Audrey> "Only a few people can use it anyways."
[19:29:13] * Audrey looks at the monkey "Huh saved us from what?"
[19:29:51] <Karis_Valmere> "I have no idea…but it can't be good. If you two really can use magic, I suggest starting now."
[19:30:11] <@Giantree> Fast asleep. That didn't stop rustling leaves from ahead, though— which escalated from there into the ground rumbling. Like an earthquake was starting.
[19:30:17] <Lyre> "Oh, you. Really gonna do this again? Well, I was right. There is most certainly something in there. No, don't prod him for more information, he's completely useless, now. Almost always is. No choice now but to take it on. Notice the rustling stop? That's because it retreated or something because HE showed up. Now he's effectively gone, and it's gonna be coming for us. Would you rather go
[19:30:17] <Lyre> after it?"
[19:31:21] <Karis_Valmere> "Like I have a choice?" Karis grasps a pendant around her neck. "the least the two of you could do is help."
[19:32:31] <Audrey> With a flash of light the girl changes her outfit into one that looks like its made out of plants and flowers, mostly flowers, her knee-length skirt is actually a giant flower goddamn.
[19:32:35] <Lyre> "No, the least I could do is flee and leave it to you. Fortunately for you, I'm a lot nicer than that. Ready yourselves."
[19:32:53] <Audrey> "Shouldn't be too hard."
[19:34:50] <@Giantree> The rustling calmed down, as did the quaking— ahead lie something that clearly wasn't grass, though. Whether it was there before or not was hard to tell, but there was definitely a small crater in front of them. Conveniently, the shade ended where it stood as well.
[19:34:58] <Karis_Valmere> "Half a step ahead of you." Karis' medallion glowed as her wardrobe transformed, a green sleeveless top and pleated skirt appeared in its place with long boots and a silver bow completing the transformation.
[19:35:35] <Lyre> Lyre went over to the tsukaimonkey and pulled a mallet, like one might find a judge using, out from underneath it. How did that get there? Who knows. She slammed the wooden hammer into a tree. "Court is now in session." Scores of legal terms erupted from the mallet, covering both the girl and itself. They settled into a flowing black judicial robe on Lyre, and the mallet became a massive
[19:35:35] <Lyre> warhammer. Way bigger and heavier than she should've been able to carry, but that didn't stop her.
[19:36:19] <Karis_Valmere> "Lemme guess. Dad is a defense attorney?"
[19:38:51] * Audrey has a pair of thorned vines attached to her wrists, they look dangerous.
[19:39:34] <@Giantree> What looks more dangerous is the crater in front of them. And the not-so-small orb in the middle of it which for some reason feels particularly threatening.
[19:40:38] <Lyre> Lyre looked surprised, "What? No, my dad's rotting in jail. Pay attention to the soon-to-be-fight." Lyre watched the crater and orb suspiciously. Was it an attack or the enemy itself? She'd back away slowly, keep her distance while she figured out what they were dealing with.
[19:41:00] <@Giantree> … Probably because it started peeling like lettuce. Cabbage? Something. While it was definitely not the color of such a thing, maybe a gray or dark brown if anything, appendages began to pour out as it spread. Then another. And another. And they could quickly be recognized as a magical girl's favorite plaything— or at least, Japan's favorite plaything for THEM. Tentacles. A lot of.
[19:41:51] <Karis_Valmere> 9/5/4 reporting
[19:42:11] <Lyre> 693, observe and report
[19:42:25] <Audrey> 7/6/5
[19:41:35] * Karis_Valmere also keeps her distance. Maybe Lyre wasn't as straightforward as things loo-oh crap. This can NOT be good.
[19:42:13] * Audrey shrudders, "I really don't like this, looks slimy."
[19:42:57] <Lyre> "This thing looks slimier than my hometown's D.A."
[19:43:52] <@Giantree> While the creature itself could hardly be seen as the orb spread, its appendages definitely didn't look like they would be very smooth to the touch. And it lashed out to let them know just what it would feel like… for a second before retracting. Suddenly, it was still.
[19:48:39] * Karis_Valmere shudders as a tendril rubs across her skin. She wants to avoid it if at all possible. And having a ranged weapon helps
[19:50:07] <@Giantree> One slimy tendril wanted more— it shot out in response to the archer backing away.
[19:48:53] <Karis_Valmere> 3d6+9
[19:48:54] <Jessie> Karis_Valmere, 3d6+9: 25 [3d6=5,5,6]
[19:48:58] <Lyre> DAMN BITCH
[19:49:00] <Karis_Valmere> 1d6
[19:49:01] <Jessie> Karis_Valmere, 1d6: 4 [1d6=4]
[19:49:06] <Lyre> YOU GOOD
[19:49:16] <@Giantree> 2d6+? probably
[19:49:16] <Jessie> Giantree, probably: 9 [2d6=6,3]
[19:49:19] <@Giantree> 1d6 maybe
[19:49:20] <Jessie> Giantree, maybe: 4 [1d6=4]
[19:49:26] <@Giantree> … yeah you good
[19:49:34] <Karis_Valmere> 1d6+4
[19:49:35] <Jessie> Karis_Valmere, 1d6+4: 9 [1d6=5]
[19:50:50] <Karis_Valmere> It really helps, apparently. Despite being recently dead, Karis remembers enough to successfully send a bolt through the length of the tendril.
[19:51:48] * Audrey closes to the sphere that was spouting this tentacles and tries to attack them at their source.
[19:52:43] <@Giantree> Another one of the tentacles from now behind her wasn't much of a fan of that, attempting to go for the flank.
[19:52:06] <DiceMaid-9001> Audrey, full: 9 [3d6=1,2,6]
[19:52:13] <Audrey> 1d6
[19:52:14] <DiceMaid-9001> Audrey, 1d6: 2 [1d6=2]
[19:52:21] <Karis_Valmere> Don't forget to add your stat
[19:52:25] <Audrey> 18
[19:52:29] <@Giantree> k
[19:52:31] <Audrey> total
[19:52:49] <@Giantree> 2d6+? oh boy
[19:52:50] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, oh boy: 10 [2d6=5,5]
[19:52:55] <@Giantree> … Huh.
[19:53:08] <Audrey> wins?
[19:53:13] <@Giantree> Nope, tiebreaks.
[19:53:26] <Karis_Valmere> Tie bureka!
[19:53:28] <@Giantree> you should go first so I don't roll a 6 and crush your hopes
[19:53:31] <@Giantree> I do that often
[19:53:32] <Audrey> 1d6
[19:53:32] <RichterBelmont> Audrey, 1d6: 5 [1d6=5]
[19:53:35] * RichterBelmont is now known as DiceMaid-9001
[19:53:39] <Audrey> inb4 6
[19:53:41] <@Giantree> 1d6
[19:53:42] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, 1d6: 5 [1d6=5]
[19:53:46] <@Giantree> Told you.
[19:53:51] <Audrey> you go first this time
[19:53:54] <@Giantree> 1d6 fine
[19:53:54] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, fine: 5 [1d6=5]
[19:53:57] <@Giantree> told you bro
[19:53:57] <Audrey> 1d6
[19:53:57] <DiceMaid-9001> Audrey, 1d6: 6 [1d6=6]
[19:53:59] <@Giantree> YEAH

[19:54:03] <Karis_Valmere> Well done
[19:54:26] <Audrey> 1d6+4 damagi
[19:54:26] <DiceMaid-9001> Audrey, damagi: 5 [1d6=1]
[19:54:31] <Audrey> :|
[19:55:38] <Audrey> also
[19:55:43] <Audrey> I invoke double action
[19:56:03] <Audrey> 1 OC to magic
[19:56:21] <Audrey> to attack again
[19:57:14] <Audrey> 2d6+7
[19:57:14] <DiceMaid-9001> Audrey, 2d6+7: 13 [2d6=2,4]
[19:57:45] <Karis_Valmere> Uh oh
[19:59:07] <@Giantree> 2d6+? anyway
[19:59:09] <Jessie> Giantree, anyway: 5 [2d6=3,2]
[19:59:32] <@Giantree> well, thanks to that whipping you do beat it actually
[19:59:54] <Audrey> so I beat it? horray!
[20:00:08] <Karis_Valmere> Lucky
[20:00:18] <@Giantree> might not've been the greatest idea in the universe to do what it did
[20:00:27] <Audrey> 1d6 damage~
[20:00:28] <DiceMaid-9001> Audrey, damage~: 5 [1d6=5]
[20:00:51] <Lyre> gj
[20:01:03] <Lyre> Is it my turn?
[20:01:07] <@Giantree> is now, yeah
[20:01:47] <Lyre> 3d6+6
[20:01:47] <RichterBelmont> Lyre, 3d6+6: 17 [3d6=2,4,5]
[20:02:25] <Lyre> Magic strike: is there a rule on where its OC goes?
[20:02:30] <@Giantree> 2d6+? poor tentacle monster
[20:02:32] <RichterBelmont> Giantree, poor tentacle monster: 11 [2d6=5,6]
[20:02:33] <@Giantree> there isn't
[20:02:35] <Lyre> >poor
[20:02:36] <@Giantree> 1d6 heh
[20:02:36] <Lyre> fag
[20:02:37] <RichterBelmont> Giantree, heh: 6 [1d6=6]
[20:02:39] <@Giantree> 1d6
[20:02:39] <RichterBelmont> Giantree, 1d6: 2 [1d6=2]
[20:02:41] <Lyre> megafag
[19:55:34] * Audrey sents one whip to swipe at the source of the tentacles while sliding away from the flanking tentacle's grasp.
[19:56:58] <Audrey> The damage is moderate slicing a few tentacles and giving others small cuts
[19:58:37] <@Giantree> Or at least, that was the intent. The one that went for the flank absorbed all the force and as such ended up protecting the skull-sized purple orb in front of the attacker. The whip lashed harder than it did.
[20:01:00] <@Giantree> One from the other side of the orb made its way forward to cover the orb as well.
[20:01:26] * Audrey attacks once again at the central mass of tentacles, but being taken off-balance by the flanking one made her attack weaker, the whip would try to wrap itself on a tentacle(s) and shear it(them) as it retracted.
[20:02:01] <@Giantree> It happened, at least. The frustrated tentacle retracted itself but still stood.
[20:03:47] <Lyre> Well, that Karis girl was surprisingly strong. Lyre was duly impressed, but hoped to deliver a one-up. She cocked back her warmallet and gave it a toss at the nearest tentacle. Foolish. Lyre let herself get too distracted and gave a poorly aimed toss.
[20:07:33] <@Giantree> The God of Thunder would not be pleased with such a poor throw. Fortunately he wasn't around to have much to say— that said, another tentacle from the back saw a perfect opportunity to wrap onto the throwing arm, meaning where the hammer would actually land was anyone's guess. That said, it followed up its wrist-wrap by not only slinking along her arm but shooting a surge of energy.
[20:08:10] <@Giantree> 1d4+2 it's okay, it's only magic, no big deal
[20:08:11] <HigginsvonHiggins> Giantree, it's okay, it's only magic, no big deal: 3 [1d4=1]
[20:12:38] <Lyre_Avarice> Lyre recoiled, the surge was like a cross between drinking some mexican energy drink banned from the geneva convention and getting caught by the shock of a lightning bolt. An unpleasant experience leaving her hopped up slightly on magic.
[20:12:48] <@Giantree> That said, there was one tentacle that had not only been immobile but was totally unscathed from the other side of the orb opposing where they stood— and it decided to make a sweeping attack of some sort on the other two. Or, depending on distance, it may have just made a long reach between the two of them. At least, it made an attempt to hit both.
[20:14:30] <@Giantree> 2d6+? Karis is farther away
[20:14:31] <HigginsvonHiggins> Giantree, Karis is farther away: 7 [2d6=1,6]
[20:14:34] <@Giantree> 1d6 oh no
[20:14:34] <HigginsvonHiggins> Giantree, oh no: 6 [1d6=6]
[20:14:37] <@Giantree> 1d6 hahaha
[20:14:37] <HigginsvonHiggins> Giantree, hahaha: 3 [1d6=3]
[20:14:40] <Audrey> yeah I can use it on whoever
[20:14:53] <@Giantree> 16+? on Audrey, 16 on Karis. Srsly.
[20:15:20] <Karis_Valmere> 3d6+5 plz to whiff
[20:15:21] <HigginsvonHiggins> Karis_Valmere, plz to whiff: 13 [3d6=2,3,3]
[20:15:25] <Adviceowl> Also yup, got bored of this game after the cave
[20:15:25] <@Giantree> nope
[20:15:28] <Adviceowl> Don't give a shit
[20:15:30] <Karis_Valmere> Fucking he'll
[20:17:06] <Audrey> 2d6+6 oh god I hope I make it
[20:17:07] <DiceMaid-9001> Audrey, oh god I hope I make it: 15 [2d6=4,5]
[20:17:11] <Audrey> ffff-
[20:17:12] <@Giantree> OH MAN
[20:17:22] <Audrey> 1 to magic
[20:20:46] <@Giantree> It didn't do so well.
[20:20:54] * Karis_Valmere tries to block with her bow…a foolish move. But then a wall of flowers pops in to existence right before the tendril would claim her. Sighing, the girl drew another arrow, making sure to thank Audrey after this…
[20:21:12] * Audrey blocks the tentacle with one of her magically charged whips, a magic barrier helped lessen the blow but she still barely blocked what would be a nasty blow.
[20:22:22] <@Giantree> The tentacle retracted itself, leaving four of them in a heap around the orb— speaking of which, said orb began to glow a bright white, and that glow extended forth into another tentacle. The one that was holding Lyre in it, in fact.
[20:24:03] <@Giantree> … And ended up with just a minor tug. It didn't loosen its grip, though.
[20:23:04] <@Giantree> 3d6+? let's see if this is defendable with 9 defense
[20:23:05] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, let's see if this is defendable with 9 defense: 6 [3d6=1,1,4]
[20:23:12] <@Giantree> It is, uh
[20:23:16] <@Giantree> that's staticable actually
[20:23:49] <Karis_Valmere> Huh.
[20:24:18] <Lyre_Avarice> coo
[20:27:25] <@Giantree> Like the tentacle was pulsating with rage, it attempted another tug at the same hand. It felt like it was about to loosen itself but attempted to grab on tighter.
[20:27:56] <@Giantree> 2d6+? good luck ryle
[20:27:58] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, good luck ryle: 10 [2d6=5,5]
[20:28:10] <@Giantree> you probably do not have it, but it's defense OR you can clash it as its pulling
[20:28:13] <@Giantree> but why would you do that
[20:28:23] <Lyre_Avarice> >clash
[20:28:24] <Lyre_Avarice> >3 attack
[20:28:31] <@Giantree> that's why I said that
[20:28:32] <@Giantree> silly
[20:28:46] <Lyre_Avarice> OKAY
[20:29:10] <Lyre_Avarice> 3d6+9
[20:29:10] <DiceMaid-9001> Lyre_Avarice, 3d6+9: 16 [3d6=5,1,1]
[20:29:16] <@Giantree> … Huh.
[20:29:18] <Lyre_Avarice> u joshin
[20:29:20] <@Giantree> You're fucked.
[20:29:28] <@Giantree> But you just HAD to switch
[20:32:12] <@Giantree> Meaning it used all its strength to grab the magic-lawyer as tight as it could and toss her entire body at… the plant-user, it picked on an impulse decision. That said the tentacle was definitely loosened from her wrist as it did so.
[20:30:21] <@Giantree> 2d6+3 Audrey, good luck~
[20:30:22] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, Audrey, good luck~: 9 [2d6=5,1]
[20:30:30] <@Giantree> CAN YOU BEAT 9?
[20:31:18] <@Giantree> oh, Audrey could static but that would be tiebreak
[20:31:23] <@Giantree> And you did go 396, yes.
[20:32:02] <Audrey> I'll active
[20:32:05] <Audrey> 2d6+6
[20:32:05] <DiceMaid-9001> Audrey, 2d6+6: 15 [2d6=4,5]
[20:36:02] <@Giantree> and unfortunately you didn't… well actually, it DID beat your defense
[20:36:24] <@Giantree> so as a parting gift
[20:36:27] <@Giantree> 1d4
[20:36:29] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, 1d4: 1 [1d4=1]
[20:35:06] * Audrey catches the judge girl in a net of flowers and vines.
[20:37:44] <Lyre_Avarice> "Hey, let me GOOOOO-" Well, damn. It let her go, alright. Go sailing through the air. At least the landing was relatively safe and nonpainful. "Ah… Thank you, Audrey. Listen up! If that thing catches you, it'll try to fill you up with magic 'til you pop like a balloon!"
[20:38:39] * Audrey keeps a wary eye on the tentacles, "At least it isn't trying to kill us the normal way."
[20:39:10] <Audrey> 2d6+7
[20:39:11] <DiceMaid-9001> Audrey, 2d6+7: 11 [2d6=1,3]
[20:39:16] <Audrey> …oh boy
[20:39:21] <@Giantree> 2d6+? heh
[20:39:23] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, heh: 10 [2d6=6,4]
[20:39:26] <@Giantree> 1d6 oh no
[20:39:28] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, oh no: 3 [1d6=3]
[20:39:33] <@Giantree> u gonna get raped
[20:41:09] <Karis_Valmere> <3
[20:41:20] <Audrey> lovingly I assume
[20:41:34] <@Giantree> Tenderly, fluff whatever you're doing so we can see which limb it thirsts for.
[20:42:35] * Audrey once again tries to strike ath the hear of the tentacles, "I we can cut them off at their root they shouldn't be that hard to deal with!"
[20:42:40] <Audrey> heart*
[20:43:16] * Audrey sends out one of her whips to skewer several of the slimy things.
[20:43:47] <@Giantree> … She would find herself striking at the air. Fortunately for her she'd have arms free to quite possibly lower the amount of fanservice incoming as she was grabbed by her ankle and lifted into the air, upside-down.
[20:44:02] <@Giantree> 1d4+1
[20:44:03] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, 1d4+1: 4 [1d4=3]
[20:44:08] <@Giantree> yow
[20:44:21] <@Giantree> that's up to 5h
[20:44:48] <@Giantree> As it shot forth another surge of energy, another one near the orb shot out and attempted to grab the other leg for good measure.
[20:45:03] <@Giantree> 2d6+? let's see here
[20:45:04] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, let's see here: 7 [2d6=5,2]
[20:45:16] <@Giantree> I suppose you can active if you want and call it shaking the leg away
[20:46:57] <Audrey> 2d6+6 active defense
[20:46:58] <DiceMaid-9001> Audrey, active defense: 8 [2d6=1,1]
[20:47:01] <Audrey> …
[20:47:03] <@Giantree> oh boy are you serious
[20:47:27] * Audrey makes an attempt to cover herself when the surge of energy went through her. She lets out moan of pleasure as her face becomes flushed. "What is this?" She says while struggling to regain her balance.
[20:47:58] <@Giantree> It had no trouble doing so, and began to slink up said leg as it did so. The other tentacle was a little more modest, but the new one released another surge as well. They both suspended her upside-down to let gravity have its way.
[20:50:04] * Audrey 's face turns redder, as she reacts again to the energy burst. Being hunged upside down helped too,
[20:50:32] <Audrey> "Help me!" She starts to sound panicked
[20:53:35] <Karis_Valmere> 4d6+5
[20:53:36] <DiceMaid-9001> Karis_Valmere, 4d6+5: 15 [4d6=4,2,3,1]
[20:53:38] <@Giantree> 1d4
[20:53:40] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, 1d4: 2 [1d4=2]
[20:53:45] <Karis_Valmere> The fuck?
[20:53:55] <@Giantree> 2f to audrey
[20:53:57] <@Giantree> I forgot to roll it
[20:54:24] <@Giantree> 2d6+? ANYWAY
[20:54:25] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, ANYWAY: 4 [2d6=3,1]
[20:54:30] <@Giantree> it fails hard
[20:54:41] <Karis_Valmere> Wow
[20:54:42] <@Giantree> … And what fails hard is an intercept.
[20:55:14] <Karis_Valmere> Oh? Oh…oh that's just evil.
[20:55:31] <Karis_Valmere> Do I get to roll damage?
[20:55:35] <@Giantree> yeah go
[20:55:54] <Karis_Valmere> 1d6+4
[20:55:55] <DiceMaid-9001> Karis_Valmere, 1d6+4: 7 [1d6=3]
[20:55:56] <@Giantree> Boom.
[20:54:35] * Karis_Valmere blanches at the scene unfolding in front of her - but she doesn't have a shot. Hopefully a well placed bolt might get it to drop her anyway!
[20:55:30] <@Giantree> Nope! The shot would involve an intercept from one of the other tentacles, though it was one of the more beat-up looking ones. Not THE one that's falling apart— that one was busy getting its revenge suspending the girl in midair.
[20:56:43] <@Giantree> As it made its way for an intercept it took the bulk of the bolt, imploding on itself. It didn't reach the central core, however.
[20:58:40] * Audrey tries to smak away the tentacle that is creeping up her leg but her position is awkward and her dress partially blocks the view.
[20:58:54] <Lyre_Avarice> I'll probably full defense
[20:59:10] <Lyre_Avarice> Since attacking's just gonna fuck me over and do her no good
[20:59:48] <@Giantree> … k
[20:59:52] <@Giantree> (you'll need it)
[21:00:18] <@Giantree> 2d6+? because the one that isn't acting is a-comin'
[21:00:19] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, because the one that isn't acting is a-comin': 7 [2d6=4,3]
[21:00:25] <@Giantree> Er, hasn't acted.
[21:02:05] <Karis_Valmere> Pretty sure 15 statics that
[21:02:09] <Lyre_Avarice> Is it staticable?
[21:02:13] <@Giantree> oh yeah
[21:02:14] <@Giantree> it IS
[21:02:18] <@Giantree> carry on then
[21:02:21] <Lyre_Avarice> Okay
[21:03:59] <@Giantree> 3d6+? oh boy good luck Kalis
[21:04:00] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, oh boy good luck Kalis: 10 [3d6=1,5,4]
[21:04:04] <@Giantree> You won't be needing it.
[21:04:14] <@Giantree> (bracing for 1,1)
[21:04:28] <Karis_Valmere> 2d6+9
[21:04:28] <DiceMaid-9001> Karis_Valmere, 2d6+9: 15 [2d6=3,3]
[21:04:37] <@Giantree> Yeah, you're fine.
[21:03:36] <@Giantree> One of the tentacles - a healthier-looking one - would attempt to whip in her general direction. It hit nothing— that said, the orb would glow white again and connect to that same tentacle, which would instead change its target toward the group's archer. Getting shot is a threat, apparently, when you're a tentacle monster. Who knew?
[21:05:30] <Karis_Valmere> It made her a threat, sure. But she was more than just an archer - she had the wind on her side. And that guiding wind allowed the girl to easily dodge the attack.
[21:09:32] <@Giantree> Both of the Audrey-holders wiggled a bit like they were debating with themselves. Once a decision had been reached, the one that wasn't slinking reluctantly loosened its grip leaving itself to flop along the ground considering its condition. The other one, however, attempted to fling the unwilling target toward another comrade…
[21:09:47] <@Giantree> … Karis again. That bow was a major threat.
[21:10:01] <@Giantree> 2d6+? first off to see if it even can
[21:10:03] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, first off to see if it even can: 8 [2d6=2,6]
[21:10:05] <@Giantree> 1d6
[21:10:05] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, 1d6: 4 [1d6=4]
[21:10:15] <@Giantree> That's for Audrey to beat, good luck
[21:10:27] <Audrey> 2d6+7 in b4 1,1
[21:10:28] <DiceMaid-9001> Audrey, in b4 1,1: 12 [2d6=1,4]
[21:10:33] <Audrey> almost
[21:10:33] <@Giantree> Close!
[21:10:36] <@Giantree> That said, you're launched.
[21:10:39] <@Giantree> 2d6+6 at Karis
[21:10:39] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, at Karis: 8 [2d6=1,1]
[21:10:44] <@Giantree> in AFTER 1,1
[21:10:56] <@Giantree> 1d4+1 heart damage btw
[21:10:59] <Karis_Valmere> …I really should clash here.
[21:11:06] <@Giantree> … Really?
[21:11:41] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, heart damage btw: 4 [1d4=3]
[21:11:52] <@Giantree> >was at 5 heart
[21:11:53] <@Giantree> UM
[21:11:56] <@Giantree> WHOOPS
[21:15:06] <Karis_Valmere> And again the…thing…forgot that the girl was a princess of the winds. A buffeting gale caught Audrey and gently set her down next to Karis…although the real battle was just about to start…
[21:19:01] <@Giantree> … Not even close. The girl suddenly took a major hit to her consciousness and a quick observer could probably see her eyes glowing black from yet another surge of energy sent through her. And just as quickly she stood up… only, she was still on the ground. Cocking her head she released a wicked grin… only to be assaulted by one of the tentacles.
[21:19:26] <@Giantree> 2d6+?;2d6+7
[21:19:27] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, 2d6+?: 7 [2d6=3,4]; 2d6+7: 10 [2d6=1,2]
[21:19:34] <@Giantree> Vwoop.
[21:21:14] <@Giantree> And it grabbed her pitch-black form around the stomach, squeezing hard enough that immediately after forming she dissipated into pure energy. This caused the tentacle to glow black, actually, and the black glow was sent down its length into the orb at the center… after which there was a sound effect, much like a VWOOP, and next to it something began to bud. The end of one of the tentacles.
[21:23:08] <Karis_Valmere> This…wasn't good. But there isn't much Karis can do, other than keep shooting! Aim for whichever tentacle looks the most damaged!
[21:23:32] <Karis_Valmere> 3d6+9 thunk
[21:23:33] <DiceMaid-9001> Karis_Valmere, thunk: 16 [3d6=4,1,2]
[21:23:38] <@Giantree> 2d6+? plunk
[21:23:39] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, plunk: 5 [2d6=3,2]

[21:23:49] <DiceMaid-9001> Karis_Valmere, 1d6+2: 3 [1d6=1]
[21:23:53] <Karis_Valmere> Bleh
[21:23:56] <@Giantree> it's okay, it had 1 left
[21:24:39] <@Giantree> It was already ripped to pieces… and now it was LITERALLY ripped to pieces, leaving shreds of tentacle around the beast. Three still remained, though… and one of them was slowly growing.
[21:29:24] <Lyre> 3d6+6 excellent, attacking the injured one
[21:29:25] <DiceMaid-9001> Lyre, excellent, attacking the injured one: 20 [3d6=3,5,6]

[21:29:50] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, maddest: 2 [1d6=2]
[21:30:04] <@Giantree> 15+? versus… 28?
[21:30:06] <Lyre> 28
[21:30:06] <Audrey> not mad enough
[21:30:10] <@Giantree> It never had +13 in the first place, so ^
[21:30:13] <@Giantree> roll damage son
[21:26:42] <@Giantree> Meanwhile, at the center of the beast, the purple orb began shifting its color until it became a rosy pink. And it stayed as such.
[21:27:23] * Audrey manages to pull herself together just to see she was sprawled on the ground. She stands up and manages to saw weakly, "What happened?" Her face was till flushed.
[21:28:23] <Karis_Valmere> "you…it did something to you. Are you sure you can act?"
[21:29:36] * Audrey shrudders and shakes her head a bit, "Yeah, I can do it!"
[21:31:16] <Lyre> 1d6+6
[21:31:17] <DiceMaid-9001> Lyre, 1d6+6: 8 [1d6=2]
[21:31:20] <@Giantree> Boom.
[21:30:44] <Karis_Valmere> "okay…try to attack from a distance if you can! Can't risk it doing that again…"
[21:33:37] <Lyre> Okay, that was quite enough being pushed around. Lyre was the judge of THIS courtroom! She approached the injured tentacle, dragging her warmallet on the ground. "You there! I hold you in contempt of court! You're ejected from this courtroom." She twirled in a circle, lifting her hammer into the air with her and released it straight at her foe. "By court order, that mallet is to be returned
[21:33:37] <Lyre> to my possession immediately."
[21:33:48] <Lyre> And so it was, flying right back into her hand.
[21:34:56] <@Giantree> Strange she never called it a 'gavel.' Unfortunately, tentacle monsters don't know much about those, or at least not in THIS universe. That said, in a much more interesting fashion, the tentacle became dust. One of them that hadn't done much saw this as a threat and shot out at the attacker.
[21:35:05] <@Giantree> 2d6+? at lyre oh no
[21:35:07] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, at lyre oh no: 10 [2d6=4,6]

[21:38:18] <Lyre> come the fuck at me bro
[21:38:18] <@Giantree> You DID beat it.
[21:40:06] <@Giantree> It didn't get far. The now rosy-pink orb decided to glow white again, making the other full tentacle that hadn't attacked yet swing around the entire form of the beast in enough of an arc to try to sweep all three of them again. It didn't put much effort in.
[21:40:55] <Lyre> Lyre turned to face her attacker. With a snap and the words, "I call the defense witness to the stands." Again, a jumble of words, this time forming into… a tentacle? Yeah, the wordtentacle blocked the real one. At least for that particular attack, there was apparently another to deal with.

[21:45:57] <Karis_Valmere> Temp
[21:45:57] <Lyre> Temporary
[21:45:58] <@Giantree> nah, it's temp
[21:46:04] <Audrey> oh so not that bad
[21:47:23] <Lyre> …But that one would fail, as well, due to Lyre deflecting the tentacle with her hammer, knocking it away.
[21:47:25] <Karis_Valmere> Again Karis dodged. But her magic was building up…she had to release it. Safely…and quietly. She felt better after a brief gust blew off the mystic power.
[21:48:36] * Audrey managed to jump onto a nearby tree, her whips coiling against her arms preparing to make an attack
[21:50:41] <@Giantree> Sproing! The budding tentacle grew into a full one, and was instantly hungry. Instead of scouting for a target, it instead lashed toward the nearest target which perhaps instinctively ended up being Karis, the one who'd been giving them the most trouble. At least, as far as stealing magical energy was concerned. Om nom nom.
[21:50:52] <@Giantree> 2d6+? at bowbitch, good lucking
[21:50:53] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, at bowbitch, good lucking: 6 [2d6=4,2]

[21:52:32] <DiceMaid-9001> Karis_Valmere, get mad: 17 [4d6=1,4,4,4]
[21:54:05] <Karis_Valmere> Perhaps she didn't like the prospect of being fondled, flooded with magic, and chucked at an enemy. Just a thought. In any case it missed her again.
[21:55:05] <@Giantree> It did, but it was visibly frustrated. The new tentacle that sprouted was dripping with slime, perhaps somewhat grossly depending on the maturity level of the combatants. Coulda been worse— at least they weren't the last group.
[21:58:50] <Karis_Valmere> It was gross. Best to avoid it for the moment. The other two seem like…safer targets
[21:57:02] <Karis_Valmere> 2d6+9 for the sake of throwing you a bone
[21:57:03] <DiceMaid-9001> Karis_Valmere, for the sake of throwing you a bone: 17 [2d6=6,2]

[21:57:10] <DiceMaid-9001> Karis_Valmere, maybe not: 2 [1d6=2]
[21:57:18] <@Giantree> What's the bone being thrown at?
[21:57:24] <@Giantree> One of the three flailing around or the orb?
[21:57:36] <Karis_Valmere> Non slimy flailing
[21:57:56] <@Giantree> You have barrage, you know, not multiattacking?
[21:58:11] <Audrey> I should have gotten barrage
[21:58:17] <Karis_Valmere> Yeah. Because missing one is as good as missing all
[21:58:27] <@Giantree> Huh, okay then.
[21:58:34] <@Giantree> 2d6+? slaaam

[21:59:21] <Karis_Valmere> Another arrow impales a tendril
[22:00:43] <@Giantree> That's all it does, though, as the tentacle flailed around and forcibly removed the arrow from itself. It was definitely pretty mad— the whole thing was, considering their efforts against one target were having so much trouble. That said, the remaining one hovered in the air preparing something— but it forgot about Audrey in her fancy new treehouse.
[22:01:49] <Audrey> 3d6+7 heart attack

[22:05:32] <DiceMaid-9001> Audrey, damagii: 8 [2d6=3,1]
[22:09:16] * Audrey suddenly jumps down from the tree and starts charging at the core where the tentacles are emerging at an amazing speed. She peppers a tentacles with needles launhed from her forearms as she passes by before jumping up high in the air and coming crashing down on the core, her two whips coiled around in the form of a drill.
[22:09:29] <Audrey> "THORN DRILL" She yells out.
[22:11:19] <@Giantree> Contact with the orb felt like smashing glass. Or attacking glass, anyway, considering a small crack was placed in it. However, it was tighly attached to the 'body' inside the crater, meaning it didn't move far or at all. Afterward, it started glowing again and activated the small tentacle, making one last ditch effort to try to grab Karis— it'd made too many attempts, ONE had to work.
[22:11:36] <@Giantree> 3d6+? it is so bad
[22:11:38] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, it is so bad: 12 [3d6=4,6,2]

[22:12:46] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, let's see here, good thing you switched: 2 [1d4=1]
[22:13:15] <Karis_Valmere> She dodged again…too bad the tendril she dodged wasnt the one that was going after her. "…!!!"
[22:13:48] <@Giantree> It made its way at her throat, considering the rest had had their fun in very different ways. And of all places, that was not a very comfortable one to have a surge of energy shot through.
[22:14:59] <Karis_Valmere> Anger seethed through Karis's body as she does everything she can to try and escape…futilely at the moment.
[22:18:00] <Lyre> 3d6+9 most injured tentacle
[22:18:01] <DiceMaid-9001> Lyre, most injured tentacle: 22 [3d6=4,6,3]
[22:18:04] <Lyre> 1d6
[22:18:04] <DiceMaid-9001> Lyre, 1d6: 2 [1d6=2]

[22:19:25] <@Giantree> Boom.
[22:19:47] <@Giantree> party member is freed, it's outta there
[22:20:17] <Karis_Valmere> Yay
[22:21:17] <Lyre> Okay, these things were dangerous, and starting to catch up with the others. What could they do? Well, what would Mom do? Obviously, she'd see to justice getting served. By… working on freeing Karis, that'd be a start. "You're charged with assault, Mr. Tentacle." Lyre lifted her warmallet and slammed it into the tentacle, unleashing an electrical charge as she assaulted her foe.
[22:22:16] <@Giantree> And while Karis was probably getting drenched with slime, that didn't last long— the tentacle slowly retreated into where it came from and supposedly disappeared. At least, there weren't any signs of it again and it didn't try to attack anymore if that said anything.
[22:23:05] * Karis_Valmere takes a raspy breath as she massages her neck. "thanks…"
[22:23:55] <Audrey> 2d6 temporary heart change
[22:23:55] <DiceMaid-9001> Audrey, temporary heart change: 9 [2d6=4,5]

[22:25:14] <@Giantree> ^
[22:25:34] <Audrey> yup kissing tick
[22:25:42] <@Giantree> tic, kissing a tick would be gross
[22:26:29] <Lyre> Lyre nodded, attempting to appear as elegant as possible. She failed, nearly dropping her big old hammer on her foot, barely dodging. "It's-WHOA-just duty. N-no need to thank me."
[22:27:12] <@Giantree> That said, one of the two flailing about made its way straight toward where Audrey was, attempting restraint of some kind again.
[22:27:38] <@Giantree> 2d6+? g'luck
[22:27:39] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, g'luck: 7 [2d6=1,6]

[22:29:08] <@Giantree> at least that was the best result you could possibly get
[22:32:06] <Karis_Valmere> Rage storm yay. Dc16 to avoid berserker status
[22:32:31] <@Giantree> Yeah, I'm gonna call for that… from the tentacles too. The person causing it is exempt.
[22:32:39] <Karis_Valmere> Ok
[22:32:41] <@Giantree> 2d6+?;2d6+? over here
[22:32:42] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, 2d6+?: 9 [2d6=3,6]; over here: 8 [2d6=2,6]

[22:33:08] <@Giantree> They… both make it, so are not frenzied. But that's just for the appendages themselves.
[22:33:18] <Lyre> >heart or magic challenge
[22:33:21] <Lyre> fury main reporting
[22:33:22] <Lyre> I hate you

[22:36:06] <Lyre> Better watch your head, Karis
[22:36:30] <Karis_Valmere> Well there are 2 tentacles, the core and the two of us.
[22:36:38] <@Giantree> hahahaha oh wow
[22:36:40] <Karis_Valmere> And it lasts for 1d4+1 rounds
[22:37:02] <@Giantree> 1d4+1
[22:37:03] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, 1d4+1: 5 [1d4=4]
[22:37:06] <Lyre> Ha
[22:37:06] <Lyre> ha
[22:37:07] <@Giantree> 5 rounds.
[22:37:07] <Lyre> ha

[22:33:40] <Karis_Valmere> 2d6+9 gonna try this with magic
[22:33:40] <DiceMaid-9001> Karis_Valmere, gonna try this with magic: 17 [2d6=3,5]
[22:30:33] <@Giantree> And this time it grabbed an arm instead of a leg, fortunately. Not even a wrist, but an upper arm, closer to an elbow actually. It send a surge of magical energy that was probably even less comfortable than last time.
[22:33:47] * Audrey grits her teeth out in pain, "What the, its different this time."
[22:40:32] * Audrey feels a surge of energy from inside her, its definitely not the same as last time. "Guh I don't feel so good."
[22:40:33] <Lyre> Emulating her mother felt good, playing the servant of justice. Being the hero. But… some kind of psychic energy began to soak into her mind from Audrey's furious radiation. Something inside her simply snapped; her thoughts were no longer articulate or structured. All she knew was that she was angry and that she needed to hurt something, to kill. Not just something. Anything.
[22:41:09] <Lyre> 1d5 Karis Audrey tentacle tentacle orb
[22:41:10] <DiceMaid-9001> Lyre, Karis Audrey tentacle tentacle orb: 4 [1d5=4]
[22:41:21] <Audrey> horray!
[22:41:24] <Karis_Valmere> Awesome
[22:41:26] <@Giantree> yay
[22:41:31] <@Giantree> it's the one that's not grappling too
[22:42:08] <Lyre> Okay
[22:42:20] <Lyre> 3d6+9
[22:42:21] <DiceMaid-9001> Lyre, 3d6+9: 19 [3d6=4,4,2]
[22:42:43] <Lyre> What's my FURY at?
[22:43:05] <@Giantree> 3 unless I'd been missing some
[22:43:09] <@Giantree> 2d6+? lessee
[22:43:09] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, lessee: 5 [2d6=1,4]
[22:43:12] <@Giantree> yeah u win
[22:44:05] <Lyre> 2d6+2 magic strike
[22:44:06] <DiceMaid-9001> Lyre, magic strike: 5 [2d6=2,1]
[22:44:10] <Lyre> Gay

[22:45:09] <@Giantree> … Doesn't rage storm give you a damage bonus?
[22:45:11] <Audrey> lol
[22:45:22] <Lyre> No
[22:45:27] <Lyre> No bonus at all
[22:45:34] <@Giantree> … Whatever, it does now. Take a +1 because it's magic confusion.
[22:45:17] <Lyre> Fortunately, this moment's thing wouldn't be one of Lyre's acquaintances. She charged at the non-grappling tentacle, wildly and aggressively flailing at the slimy appendage with her warmallet.
[22:46:42] <Lyre> 2d6 fury discharge c'mon murderspasms
[22:46:43] <DiceMaid-9001> Lyre, fury discharge c'mon murderspasms: 7 [2d6=2,5]
[22:46:45] <Karis_Valmere> ^
[22:46:48] <Lyre> Agony
[22:46:48] <@Giantree> u agonic
[22:46:49] <Lyre> oh boy
[22:47:47] <@Giantree> And it would shatter like glass, just to be unique. The other one began to lightly loosen its grip, but not by enough to break free or anything. The orb stood ominously.
[22:49:14] * Karis_Valmere feels the tainting of Audrey's furious aura, seeping into her mind like the slime seeped into her clothes…but unlike the latter, the rage was held in check by a calm soul.
[22:50:21] <Karis_Valmere> But it was far from gone, that was for sure. Grasping at her inner reserves, Karis pulls back the string of her compound bow, the arrow ready to launch at near supersonic speed
[22:51:38] * Audrey is struggling through this all the time. "Get off me you disgusting thing!"
[22:50:41] <Karis_Valmere> Precise finisher on the core
[22:51:00] <Karis_Valmere> 5d6+9 using magic boost
[22:51:01] <DiceMaid-9001> Karis_Valmere, using magic boost: 27 [5d6=4,2,4,3,5]
[22:51:45] <Karis_Valmere> So 3 magic overcharge
[22:51:51] <@Giantree> daaaammnn
[22:52:01] <@Giantree> 2d6+8 can't clash, in use
[22:52:03] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, can't clash, in use: 14 [2d6=2,4]
[22:52:07] <@Giantree> winner is you
[22:52:19] <Karis_Valmere> 2d6+6 snipe shot
[22:52:20] <DiceMaid-9001> Karis_Valmere, snipe shot: 12 [2d6=4,2]
[22:52:35] <@Giantree> yeaaar
[22:52:51] <@Giantree> puts another crack in it
[22:52:21] <Lyre> It was her foe that was slaughtered, but Lyre began screaming. Something went wrong, as her body was wracked with terrible agony from no visible source. Rage and pain mixed together, turning the girl from blindingly wrathful to everything she could reach to senselessly violent, slamming the ground with her warmallet. She had to destroy, to hurt, to kill. It, something, hurt her badly. So
[22:52:21] <Lyre> badly. If she could pass on this destruction and suffering to ANYWHERE else, maybe it would be relieved, and yet her thoughts were not articulate enough to process that. All she understood was that she was mad and in pain; that she had to attack.
[22:54:04] <Karis_Valmere> "Snipe…SHOOT!" the arrow screams through the air and punches through the core of the beast, before flying out the other side, the grievous wounds would hopefully make it close to being dead.
[22:55:58] <@Giantree> Close to being cracked, perhaps. Like a glass ball, the orb showed some signs of being worn, but the tentacle didn't stop. In fact, it started glowing while the orb did and found it necessary to drop the girl as soon as possible— if by 'drop' you mean 'toss,' that is. Karis would be the target as it attempted to lift Audrey into the air, but getting the latter done first had priority.
[22:55:24] <Audrey> my turn I assime
[22:55:30] <@Giantree> nope
[22:55:59] <Audrey> I go after karis
[22:56:07] <@Giantree> 3d6+? someone'll figure it out soon
[22:56:08] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, someone'll figure it out soon: 11 [3d6=4,5,2]
[22:56:17] <@Giantree> Beat that and sure you can go
[22:56:29] <@Giantree> … If you DON'T beat it, you can still go. But uh, might help to beat it.
[22:56:35] <Audrey> with what support?
[22:56:41] <Audrey> what, *
[22:56:47] <@Giantree> You can clash it if you want, otherwise… no, defense actually.
[22:56:59] <@Giantree> it's using an attack to grab you
[22:57:20] <Audrey> he already has me grabbed but…when do I attack
[22:57:26] <Audrey> 4d6+6 fury defense
[22:57:27] <DiceMaid-9001> Audrey, fury defense: 14 [4d6=4,2,1,1]
[22:57:32] <@Giantree> wow
[22:57:33] <Audrey> motherfucker
[22:58:01] <@Giantree> 1d4+1 here comes another mad earthquake ebrbrbrbr

[22:58:24] <@Giantree> as soon as you get out you're straight up to 7 fury
[23:00:57] <Karis_Valmere> 5d6+4 this can't be healthy
[23:00:58] <DiceMaid-9001> Karis_Valmere, this can't be healthy: 19 [5d6=1,1,2,6,5]
[23:01:03] <@Giantree> diiiicemaaaaaiiiiid
[23:01:08] <Karis_Valmere> 1d6 that's enough
[23:01:08] <DiceMaid-9001> Karis_Valmere, that's enough: 6 [1d6=6]
[23:01:14] <@Giantree> it isn't, apparently
[23:01:19] <Karis_Valmere> 1d6 okay seriously?
[23:01:19] <DiceMaid-9001> Karis_Valmere, okay seriously?: 1 [1d6=1]
[23:01:28] <@Giantree> 6 fury, u mad
[23:01:37] <Karis_Valmere> Well I dodge. And go to 6 fury.
[23:01:38] <@Giantree> … So mad that you don't get hit.
[22:59:53] * Audrey is brought down to her knees in pain before being lauched into the air into another ususpecting girl.
[23:02:43] <Karis_Valmere> It didn't learn. Likely wouldn't. Just like last time, a teasing wisp of wind ensnared Audrey before gently and silently returning her to Karis' side.
[23:03:23] <Karis_Valmere> "you're welcome."
[23:04:04] * Audrey is brought down to her knees, "It isn't even attacking normally, what does it want?"She says angrily
[23:04:30] <Karis_Valmere> "your guess is as good as mine…"
[23:04:46] <Audrey> 2d6+6 magic attack
[23:04:47] <DiceMaid-9001> Audrey, magic attack: 12 [2d6=2,4]
[23:04:59] <Audrey> err that 6 is supposed to be a 5

[23:05:16] <Audrey> core

[23:05:25] <@Giantree> "Nope," says it.
[23:07:05] * Audrey grabs a nearby, heavy looking rock, and puts her vinewhips into some sort of slingshot configuration and launches the rock at the core… to no effect.
[23:08:35] <@Giantree> The first thing the single remaining tentacle did was start from Lyre's position and attempt yet another of its infamous sweeps— it wanted sustenance from all three of them.
[23:10:00] <@Giantree> 2d6+10 Lyre Karis Audrey. Hiding things? Fuck that.
[23:10:01] <Audrey> I will clash against it
[23:10:02] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, Lyre Karis Audrey. Hiding things? Fuck that.: 22 [2d6=6,6]
[23:10:06] <@Giantree> … if you're sure

[23:10:30] <Lyre> okay
[23:10:32] <Lyre> fantastic
[23:10:37] <Karis_Valmere> 4d6+9 what could possibly go wrong?

[23:12:12] <Audrey> fuck
[23:12:14] <Audrey> 5 in one go
[23:12:16] <@Giantree> Huh. Let's see Lyre's defense here.
[23:12:19] <Audrey> 5 oc that is
[23:12:27] <Lyre> uh

[23:12:59] <@Giantree> haw
[23:13:14] <@Giantree> Well, fortunately Audrey gets to roll damage, if it's over what it has nobody gets grabbed
[23:13:15] <@Giantree> spoilers it is
[23:13:24] <Lyre> it's not worth heartspawning just to avoid one attack
[23:13:37] <Audrey> 1d6+10 lol 5 OC
[23:13:38] <DiceMaid-9001> Audrey, lol 5 OC: 14 [1d6=4]
[23:14:45] * Audrey meets it head on, both thorn whips hold it still before it is shredded and torn into thousands of thin ribbons.
[23:15:25] <@Giantree> And the orb in the center shook. Just slightly. It didn't move, though.
[23:15:29] <Audrey> "You won't hurt us anymore." She says coldly.
[23:15:50] <@Giantree> Strange that it wouldn't do so with no more tentacles surrounding it, and even moreso considering it still had color.
[23:15:53] <@Giantree> …
[23:15:58] <@Giantree> Vwoop.
[23:16:01] <@Giantree> Vwoop vwoop.
[23:16:27] <@Giantree> From under it sounds could be heard— very slight ones. It kept shaking again, and did nothing even CLOSE to disappearing. It still wanted to fight.
[23:17:47] <Lyre> 1d3 Karis Audrey Orb
[23:17:48] <DiceMaid-9001> Lyre, Karis Audrey Orb: 2 [1d3=2]
[23:17:52] <Lyre> Sorry audrey
[23:17:56] <Lyre> but this was your fault, anyway
[23:17:58] <@Giantree> get kissed
[23:20:50] <Lyre> There was no sign of improvement in Lyre's condition; she was as mindlessly vicious as before. She sensed Audrey, the one who radiated the energy that sent her into this berserk rage. She charged at the apparent source of her madness, ready to wallop her with the oversized hammer.
[23:19:52] <Lyre> 2d6+9 let's rock
[23:19:53] <DiceMaid-9001> Lyre, let's rock: 17 [2d6=2,6]
[23:19:56] <Lyre> 1d6
[23:19:57] <DiceMaid-9001> Lyre, 1d6: 4 [1d6=4]
[23:20:20] <Audrey> …
[23:20:22] <Audrey> oh boy
[23:21:09] <Audrey> 3d6+6 fury defense ffffffuuu-
[23:21:09] <DiceMaid-9001> Audrey, fury defense ffffffuuu-: 21 [3d6=4,5,6]
[23:21:14] <Lyre> TENACIOUS D
[23:21:15] <@Giantree> … Huh.
[23:21:18] <Audrey> 1d6
[23:21:18] <DiceMaid-9001> Audrey, 1d6: 4 [1d6=4]
[23:21:21] <@Giantree> GET MAKING OUT
[23:24:24] * Audrey sees Lyre getting closer, then she realizes then the urge that had been recently burning away inside. Those lips, she must have them. Her whips quickly tie the girl down midswing as Audrey got closer, licker her own lips and planted a deep kiss into Lyres mouth, trying to get her tounge as far into her mouth as possible.
[23:26:55] <@Giantree> Suddenly, the area was filled with rage again… and as it was, the orb began glowing. It became like a vacuum though none of the girls found their bodies moving at all, nor did anything else seem to change, except for maybe Lyre calming down a bit. When the glowing stopped, the orb was now a deep crimson color as opposed to a purple or a rosy pink. But it remained still.
[23:29:10] <Karis_Valmere> It was still. Meant it was a prime target for a fistful of arrows. Sure she saw what Audrey just did…Ruby wasn't into that though. Maybe if she beats this thing…
[23:29:44] <Lyre> Vague, confused thoughts began to form in Lyre's head. Where was she, again? What just happened? All she remembered was being really, really mad, something she didn't quite feel anymore. As she became aware of her surroundings, she noticed the girl engaged in a kiss with her. And the whip tying her down. Attempting to break away, the confused girl with very wide eyes stared at Audrey, "Y-you…
[23:29:45] <Lyre> This is sexual harassment!"
[23:29:41] <Karis_Valmere> 3d6+5 in b4 trip sixes
[23:29:42] <DiceMaid-9001> Karis_Valmere, in b4 trip sixes: 15 [3d6=5,3,2]
[23:29:48] <Karis_Valmere> Acceptable
[23:29:56] <Lyre> Masterful timing
[23:29:59] <Karis_Valmere> I think
[23:30:05] <@Giantree> 2d6+8 let's see here
[23:30:07] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, let's see here: 17 [2d6=3,6]
[23:30:12] <@Giantree> 1d6 oh come ON dicemaid
[23:30:13] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, oh come ON dicemaid: 4 [1d6=4]
[23:30:16] <@Giantree> fuck you
[23:30:32] <@Giantree> guess you've got another turn of FUN ahead
[23:30:35] <@Giantree> 1d3 but how fun?
[23:30:37] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, but how fun?: 2 [1d3=2]
[23:30:42] <@Giantree> Pretty fun.
[23:31:41] * Audrey blinks and then realizes what she has been doing and immediately releases Lyre, "Oh god I'm so sorry I…" She brings her hand to her lips, "I don't know what happened."
[23:33:21] <@Giantree> Their conversation didn't silence the two loud stamps on the ground made by two emerging tentacles from underneath the orb. They were both not as large as the ones from earlier and covered in all sorts of disgusting ooze, but they smacked the earth with anticipation. The crimson orb radiated with… well, that's up to you to decide, orbs can't talk. Tentacles can't either.
[23:33:54] <@Giantree> …. And then they smacked harder and harder, moving every which way. Almost like they didn't even have control of themselves.
[23:34:11] <Lyre> Lyre gave Audrey the same intense stare as when the trio first met. She did seem genuinely confused by her actions. Lyre still didn't understand how she got there. "Pleading Temporary Insanity? I'll let you off, this time. Just worry about finishing these monsters."
[23:35:09] * Audrey looks towards the tentacles, "Yes, we need to deal with this first."
[23:35:27] <Karis_Valmere> The two girls kissing and arguing was enough of a distraction to make Karis' shot go wide. St-stupid kissing! It's not l-like she wanted any!
[23:36:55] * Audrey smiles widely, "I can give you some if you want it.~" She sticks her tounge out and puts her index finger on her lips.
[23:38:13] <@Giantree> The tentacle was offended by that, considering it slammed into where she was… okay, it still tried to grab her as usual, but it was a lot slimier than the older ones. Still came at the position angrily, lashing like a whip of some kind.
[23:37:21] <@Giantree> oh, okay
[23:38:36] <@Giantree> 2d6+10 Audrey gets hit first because her name starts with the letter A, how exciting
[23:38:38] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, Audrey gets hit first because her name starts with the letter A, how exciting: 17 [2d6=2,5]
[23:39:04] * Karis_Valmere blushes at Audrey's comment but can't keep her face from screaming "secretly want".
[23:39:24] <Lyre> I'M SURROUNDED BY LESBIANS
[23:39:26] <@Giantree> haha, this is great
[23:39:44] <Audrey> 3d6+7 hart
[23:39:45] <DiceMaid-9001> Audrey, hart: 23 [3d6=6,4,6]
[23:39:49] <Audrey> …
[23:39:49] <@Giantree> Daaaaamnit.

[23:40:32] <Lyre> do I detect heartspawn
[23:40:35] <Lyre> I think I do
[23:40:46] <@Giantree> it's a 9 heartspawn
[23:40:51] <Lyre> okay
[23:40:53] <Audrey> 1d6+8
[23:40:54] <DiceMaid-9001> Audrey, 1d6+8: 10 [1d6=2]
[23:40:54] <@Giantree> by the way, nobody changed their arrays, right?
[23:41:01] <Lyre> no, 963
[23:41:03] <@Giantree> That tentacle's flat-out smashed.
[23:41:06] <Audrey> I didn't but I clashed
[23:41:14] <Lyre> Okay, Karis, you can make out with the heartspawn
[23:42:21] * Audrey 's whips started spinning frantically and with a swipe at the its source the tentacle was instantly severed.
[23:42:55] <Audrey> The whips were glowing a bright green. And Audrey fet dizzy after the fact.
[23:42:59] <@Giantree> No, stop that, they all have to break in different ways. Have you really not noticed that yet? A better word would be 'shattered,' because this one became more glasslike than the orb.
[23:44:03] <Lyre> Can I magic flare before I attack?
[23:44:05] <@Giantree> go
[23:44:13] <Lyre> 2d6 heaven/hell
[23:44:13] <DiceMaid-9001> Lyre, heaven/hell: 10 [2d6=6,4]
[23:44:19] <Lyre> OH OH
[23:44:20] <Lyre> WHAT IS IT

[23:44:50] <@Giantree> (it's bad health)
[23:44:50] <Lyre> 1d6
[23:44:51] <DiceMaid-9001> Lyre, 1d6: 5 [1d6=5]
[23:44:54] <@Giantree> damnit
[23:44:57] <@Giantree> you're katrina
[23:44:58] <Lyre> NARCO

[23:45:03] <Lyre> DAMN
[23:45:05] <@Giantree> that's magic fever
[23:45:31] <@Giantree> You can still act this turn because it's just starting, but I'll say down unless you make a save after. That thing's nasty.
[23:46:34] <Lyre> 3d6+9 die tentacle
[23:46:35] <DiceMaid-9001> Lyre, die tentacle: 21 [3d6=6,2,4]
[23:46:39] <Lyre> 1d6
[23:46:40] <DiceMaid-9001> Lyre, 1d6: 4 [1d6=4]
[23:46:41] <@Giantree> poor thing
[23:46:45] <@Giantree> 2d6+8 okay though
[23:46:45] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, okay though: 12 [2d6=3,1]
[23:46:54] <@Giantree> … So uh, guys, you know what that means, right?
[23:47:04] <Lyre> That we're down to the core?
[23:47:07] <@Giantree> Nevermind, roll damage, you may just find out.
[23:48:09] <Lyre> 1d6+4 k
[23:48:10] <DiceMaid-9001> Lyre, k: 5 [1d6=1]
[23:48:13] <Lyre> dohoho
[23:48:18] <@Giantree> jesus
[23:48:21] <Lyre> or not
[23:48:29] <@Giantree> no, it's down
[23:48:33] <@Giantree> newspawns had exactly 5
[23:50:02] <Lyre> That Audrey might be a sexual predator in training, but that wasn't the most pressing concern; there was still a fight to win. One that was really dragging on Lyre… She could use a rest, her head was beginning to feel light. She put a lot of what she had left in one throw at the last tentacle. "Ah… I don't feel so well. Tired… Did you give me mono, Audrey?"
[23:50:51] <@Giantree> Audrey, however, would only feel dizzier. And dizzier. And she would probably black out for the second time, considering another image of herself with a similarly wicked grin and a jet black form made its way out of her body with a push. It didn't have an insignia on its chest though, somebody already has the rights to that. At least where her heart was lie a large hole.
[23:51:49] <@Giantree> Making it apparent that the heartspawn had some voice, it started giggling… then laughing moderately… and then cackling uncontrollably. Maybe its source would have woken up to see herself acting batshit insane, but with no tentacles in sight she formed shadow-whips in her hand and cracked them at the ground.
[23:54:53] * Audrey faints for the second time today but as she fights to keep herself conscious she sees herself pushing out of her own body, 'thats wierd' before finally losing it.
[23:54:54] <Karis_Valmere> That…thing. It came out of Audrey. No way it was supposed to be there. An arrow was quickly nocked and fired at the black heartspawn
[23:54:11] <Karis_Valmere> 3d6+5
[23:54:12] <DiceMaid-9001> Karis_Valmere, 3d6+5: 15 [3d6=2,2,6]
[23:54:19] <Karis_Valmere> 1d6
[23:54:19] <DiceMaid-9001> Karis_Valmere, 1d6: 3 [1d6=3]
[23:54:34] <@Giantree> At the core?
[23:54:40] <@Giantree> SHOOT THE CORE
[23:54:41] <@Giantree> SHOOT THE CORE
[23:54:41] <@Giantree> SHOOT THE CORE
[23:54:59] <@Giantree> k
[23:55:10] <@Giantree> 2d6+7 it doesn't like that though
[23:55:11] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, it doesn't like that though: 14 [2d6=1,6]
[23:55:14] <@Giantree> 1d6 arg
[23:55:14] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, arg: 3 [1d6=3]
[23:55:22] <Lyre> good effort
[23:55:25] <Karis_Valmere> Still win
[23:55:33] <@Giantree> yeah, you were both using heart
[23:55:37] <@Giantree> also you're up to 6h
[23:55:43] <Karis_Valmere> 1d6+4 die monster! You don't belong in this world
[23:55:44] <DiceMaid-9001> Karis_Valmere, die monster! You don't belong in this world: 7 [1d6=3]
[23:56:12] <Karis_Valmere> And what, 5m?
[23:56:15] <@Giantree> Well, I never even thought of how much resolve heartspawns would have. I always figured, like, half of their host's.
[23:56:23] <@Giantree> … And uh, that's half of the host's.
[23:56:27] <Karis_Valmere> In which case…
[23:56:30] <Karis_Valmere> Yeah
[23:58:00] <@Giantree> And it turned to the side while cackling and swung a whip toward the arrow… which missed by a longshot and lead to the arrow piercing through the hole in her heart. There was nothing there, but a magical surge emanated as it hit its mark and almost instantaneously the shadow dissipated. The orb was glowing uncontrollably this whole time, but the glowing stopped when she vanished.
[23:58:58] * Audrey is sprawled on the ground eyes half open and unresponsive
[23:59:00] <@Giantree> Yoink! The final budded tentacle shot out from under the orb, as there clearly wasn't anything else to do. This one seemed a bit calmer, but it stretched as far as it possibly could.
[00:00:06] * Audrey blinks as she finds herself looking at the sky, she immediately straightens herself up looking for enemies.
[00:00:17] <Audrey> "Damnit not again!"
[00:00:54] <Lyre> Lyre let out a weary laugh, "Ha… I guess I was right about you, Karis." But Audrey didn't look well, "Karis took care of it. Are you better?"
[23:59:40] <@Giantree> Top of the round, any fallouts?
[00:00:27] <Karis_Valmere> Sure. Heart fallout here
[00:00:30] <Karis_Valmere> 2d6
[00:00:31] <DiceMaid-9001> Karis_Valmere, 2d6: 2 [2d6=1,1]
[00:00:40] <Karis_Valmere> Aww
[00:00:46] <@Giantree> Image problems.
[00:00:52] <@Giantree> Freaked out about what Kirin did still, I'd gather.
[00:01:14] <Karis_Valmere> "does this bow make me look girly enough?"
[00:01:42] <Karis_Valmere> "I don't like unfinished business. Shall we?"
[00:03:20] <Lyre> "Let's close the case."
[00:03:23] <@Giantree> The orb apparently didn't either— wait, that makes no sense. Well, anyway, the first thing the new-tentacle did was attempt a sweep on all three of them. Again.
[00:03:41] * Audrey stands up trying hard to keep her balance, it looks like she could fall any second.
[00:03:50] <@Giantree> 2d6+10 Lyre gets -0 because of the terrible joke, then Audrey, then Karis just because
[00:03:52] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, Lyre gets -0 because of the terrible joke, then Audrey, then Karis just because: 15 [2d6=1,4]
[00:03:56] <@Giantree> good luck
[00:03:59] <Audrey> 657 better
[00:04:04] <Audrey> wait
[00:04:08] <Audrey> yeah
[00:04:27] <Audrey> 2d6+5
[00:04:28] <DiceMaid-9001> Audrey, 2d6+5: 11 [2d6=2,4]
[00:04:28] <@Giantree> and by the way
[00:04:33] <@Giantree> (really)
[00:04:34] <Karis_Valmere> 2d6+9 clashing its brains out
[00:04:34] <Audrey> ffffu
[00:04:34] <DiceMaid-9001> Karis_Valmere, clashing its brains out: 17 [2d6=2,6]
[00:04:40] <Karis_Valmere> 1d6
[00:04:40] <DiceMaid-9001> Karis_Valmere, 1d6: 4 [1d6=4]
[00:04:41] <@Giantree> eh
[00:04:47] <@Giantree> you do beat it, roll damage
[00:04:58] <Karis_Valmere> 1d6+2
[00:04:59] <DiceMaid-9001> Karis_Valmere, 1d6+2: 7 [1d6=5]
[00:05:05] <@Giantree> Boom.
[00:06:06] <Karis_Valmere> It hadn't worked any other time the monster tried. Why would it work now? One more arrow, placed exactly where she wanted.
[00:06:57] <Karis_Valmere> "die…and don't come back!"
[00:07:47] <@Giantree> Considering this one became white ash and fell onto the ground harmlessly, it probably would not be coming back. And there were no buds at the orb to speak of either— at this point, the damage it had caused was more or less making sure group their own enemies.
[00:05:47] <@Giantree> Anyway, on Lyre's turn, make a check with support
[00:05:56] <@Giantree> to not succumb to hurr fever
[00:06:01] <Lyre> k
[00:06:08] <@Giantree> OC okay if you want
[00:06:09] <Lyre> wait
[00:06:09] <Lyre> FUCK

[00:08:20] <@Giantree> But yeah no, it's definitely not as bad as Aerosland's, but it's still kinda bad.
[00:08:21] <Lyre> 1d6
[00:08:22] <DiceMaid-9001> Lyre, 1d6: 4 [1d6=4]
[00:08:27] <@Giantree> That's fine, you do make it anyway
[00:10:11] <Lyre> 3d6+9

[00:10:57] <@Giantree> nope.jpg
[00:10:57] <Lyre> Stupid orb
[00:11:00] <@Giantree> it can't clash though
[00:09:28] * Karis_Valmere sighs as she leans on her silver longbow. "could you two help me end this? It's gone on long enough…"
[00:11:29] <Audrey> "I'll do something about it", she says before swinging off to the other side of the crater near the thing.
[00:12:12] <Lyre> Ugh, whatever illness took Lyre, it was awfully unpleasant. She was tired and slightly dizzy. She stumbled forward to unleash another very limp-wristed toss. It seemed as though her warmallet was starting to weigh what it looked like. Her attack was far too weak to be damaging.
[00:13:00] <Lyre> "I'm sorry. I tried, but didn't have it in me."
[00:13:09] <Audrey> 4d6+7 heart support
[00:13:10] <DiceMaid-9001> Audrey, heart support: 20 [4d6=4,6,2,1]
[00:13:15] <Audrey> 1d6
[00:13:16] <DiceMaid-9001> Audrey, 1d6: 2 [1d6=2]
[00:13:19] <@Giantree> 2d6+5 oh boy, you might not make it, oh no
[00:13:20] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, oh boy, you might not make it, oh no: 11 [2d6=1,5]
[00:13:24] <@Giantree> winner
[00:13:31] <@Giantree> now has 5 defense instead of 8
[00:14:24] <Karis_Valmere> "It's not over yet!" Karis will try to straighten her up, only to sense the burning skin. "Focus…focus on the target. Take what you want to do and force your will on it. You can do this!" a chilling breeze blows at Lyre's back.
[00:15:41] <@Giantree> The orb attempted to glow again… though, weakly this time. Nothing happened.
[00:16:09] * Audrey wraps her whips around the ball thing and begins to focus on its magic power and begins to well, suck mostly try to force it to lower its defenses. She does this as arcs of electricity course through the vine whips, its magic aint gotta explain shit.
[00:15:54] <Karis_Valmere> 3d6+9 ALL THE MEGUCA
[00:15:55] <DiceMaid-9001> Karis_Valmere, ALL THE MEGUCA: 17 [3d6=3,4,1]
[00:16:03] <@Giantree> 3d6+5
[00:16:04] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, 3d6+5: 16 [3d6=3,2,6]
[00:16:05] <Karis_Valmere> …not that much. 6m.
[00:16:07] <@Giantree> 1d6 oh no
[00:16:08] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, oh no: 2 [1d6=2]
[00:16:11] <@Giantree> hahaha
[00:16:15] <Karis_Valmere> Fucking hell
[00:16:21] <@Giantree> It used its fancy glowing thing to beat you by 1.
[00:17:03] <Lyre> No breeze was about to cure a magic fever, but it was comforting, at the least. Lyre nodded, "I'll get myself together and try again. Thanks, Karis."
[00:17:04] <@Giantree> Though, it didn't stop glowing— it projected something around itself, like a shield of some kind. An invisible one at least, considering it didn't stop attacks from being attempted.
[00:17:11] * Karis_Valmere shoots again…and forgot to factor in the wind she summoned for Lyre. Stupid move…but then again…
[00:19:58] <Lyre> 3d6+9 let's rock

[00:20:36] <Lyre> RLY
[00:20:39] <Lyre> BITCH PLZ
[00:20:40] <Audrey> …
[00:20:43] <@Giantree> damn
[00:20:44] <Karis_Valmere> …
[00:20:45] <Audrey> I demand a reroll

[00:22:35] <DiceMaid-9001> Giantree, 2d6+8: 11 [2d6=2,1]
[00:22:41] <@Giantree> why couldn't it get that earlier
[00:22:51] <Karis_Valmere> Audino~
[00:22:51] <Audrey> 1d6+8
[00:22:52] <DiceMaid-9001> Audrey, 1d6+8: 9 [1d6=1]
[00:22:53] <@Giantree> Your damage bonus alone shatters it. Make it climactic.
[00:23:24] <Lyre> Okay, this time the attack had to connect. Lyre wasn't about to let Karis down like that. She spun the hammer around, gathering up some of the wind current Karis had summoned up to cool her. The magical judge girl whipped her tornadohammer at the orb. "Hah… That was tough, but I did it."
[00:24:15] <@Giantree> At the hammersmash, it cracked. Just a bit. A bit more, that is— it was leaking magical energy and the crimson color could hardly be seen anymore. Just a little more…
[00:25:26] * Audrey switches her focus from draining to attacking, her wrapped whips suddenly start spinning really fast making a sound not too different to a buzzaw. Sparks start flying from the thing and it catches fire. That is when Audey threw it into the air and it made a pretty big blossoming explosion.
[00:26:09] <Karis_Valmere> "…thank you…" Karis sighs, releived. She didn't know if there was anything left in the tank.
[00:26:21] <@Giantree> … And when the remains of it sunk into the crater. Anybody who had become a magical girl would know exactly what would happen upon defeating one of those 'youma,' right? Where the creature had once been was now…
[00:27:25] * Audrey was getting that urge again, she looked at Karis and licked her lips.
[00:27:29] <@Giantree> … Nothing. Absolutely nothing. And with a slight giggle, the old man monkey approached from a direction completely opposite where they'd come from while applauding. It began to be so much more apparent how warm the weather was. "Yadidgood, nowyareadytoknowwhyidunbroughtyoutathisplace?"
[00:27:50] <Karis_Valmere> "It would help. No seeds?"
[00:28:16] <Lyre> "Oh, you. It'd help if you hurried this up, I've taken slightly ill."
[00:28:48] * Karis_Valmere 's face turns an absolutely adorable shade of pink. She wants audrey to kiss her…but she can't say it. Thankfully her face does so for her.
[00:28:57] * Audrey quickly closes the distance to Karis and plants one right in her, hugging her and groping her behind in the process.
[00:28:59] <@Giantree> "Naaawwwp, notinthishereplace, nosiree." It winked at that line. "Whydon'tchacomewithme,I'llmakesureitallmakessomemoresensenowahkay." With that, it trotted off to who-knows-where, beckoning to follow.
[00:29:24] <@Giantree> … And this is where the camera pans. Would either of them ever live again? Prrrrobably not.
[11:23:41] <@TestZone> Lapis awakens in a dimly-lit room, about 20 feet to a side, with a cement floor and grimy cinderblock walls. Three of the walls are utterly featureless, but the fourth has a door: rusting iron beneath peeled green paint. Next to the door are a pair of lights, one of which glows red.
[11:23:54] <@TestZone> Slumped in the opposite corner is a small lump - a second girl, upon closer examination. She seems to be asleep.
[11:26:06] <Lapis> "Mmm… did another one slip one of those crazy drugs in? I swearrrr, they could just ask~" With a yawn and a stretch— well, that really doesn't feel all that bad, must've been out a while. Feeling around, Lapis Lycoris makes it a first priority to check for the towel she always wears… but always is always. "Red, did you- oh hey, that looks kinda familiar." With a bit of a crawl, the other girl gets a poke on the nose. Two. Three.
[11:29:34] <Lotte> The blonde lump, dressed in an (other than being slightly dirtied by the floor) immaculate school uniform and skirt began to stir visibly in some sort of nightmare, muttering, "Slimy… no… go awaitasecond, why am I on the floor?" as she transitioned from asleep to half asleep. Her voice carried confusion, but her blue eyes seemed more nervous.
[11:31:56] <Lapis> Like there's any reason to not have her focus, right? Red found itself composing her entire wardrobe, being like a huge cloak by this point— you know, beach towels are really big. But a weird, pouty, teenagey sigh follows. ".. Yeah. Why are you on the floor, actually?" Poke count up to 17.
[11:35:02] <Lotte> With her head solidly returned to (what is presumably) reality, Lotte found herself rather displeased with the situation. Leaping to her feat as she straightened out her uniform, she snapped, "I don't know, but I'm not staying on that floor any longer; doesn't this place have some kind of janitor to clean up? And please keep your hands to yourself, they were just on the floor weren't
[11:35:02] <Lotte> they? I wish I had some hand sanitizer…"
[11:37:13] <Lapis> A glance down to her hands and a few grasping motions… are they dusty? Naaah. "Ohhh, trust me, they've been in a lot of places~" … Cough cough. Lapis would glance around too, though not like her focus really showed any signs of ever going anywhere. Everything was all too hazy. ".. Uh. Haven't we, y'know, met before?"
[11:40:44] <Lotte> "Well, if they've been lots of places, I hope the sink was one of them." Head, joke, whoosh. "Met before…?" An intense stare directed at Lapis until Lotte took notice of Red. That disgusting towel! "You! You're the girl with the sticky towel. Why did you take me here?"
[11:42:53] <Lapis> "Oh maaan, I wish I were good enough at lying to say I WAS the one who brought us here, you're the one with that really cute attitude and the-" Her gaze shot straight to the other girl's lips with a hand being brought up to her mouth. A gasp followed upon remembering what happened… then a giggle.
[11:43:53] <Lapis> "Eheheh… well, at least you're okay."
[11:44:30] <@TestZone> With a click, the red light begins to blink, accompanied by a mechanical whirring noise from somewhere behind the door. After three pulses, both the noise and the red light cut off, and the second light comes on, bright green.
[11:46:03] <Lapis> Twirling around and taking a few steps away, that's probably the best idea. Lights, those are fancy, those get a stare. "Might wanna actually try to get outta this place first, huh?"
[11:46:30] <Lotte> "Okay? You almost drowned me, and my clothes were waterlogged! Ruined. Who knows where magic water even comes from or what kind of little germs live in it? I was hardly okay!" Lotte had been a little too unconscious to remember Lapis' emergency treatment. For a moment, her rage was distracted as she turned her head towards the sounds.
[11:47:53] <Lapis> "Ahaha~ You're a lucky kid if that's all you know." Her best 'ufufu' giggle would come out after that, and no matter what kind of media you're in that's usually never a good sign to here. "… Yeah, nevermind. Thattaway." A point to the door upon walking. Going through doors, that's a good idea.
[11:48:27] <@TestZone> The sounds had definitely come from behind the door - or maybe within the door itself? There weren't any outward indications of any sort of mechanism, besides a large knob about halfway up.
[11:49:43] <Lapis> At least one of them has hands that aren't afraid of touching things… what are you talking about, that's not innuendo, that means she reached out and tried to twist the knob. Obviously they're always locked these days, so the deed gets done with a twisted expression.
[11:50:38] <Lotte> The smaller girl crossed her arms with a loud "Hmph" and walked up to the door. She turned an eye to the knob and watched Lapis attempt to get the door open with it. That'd be fine; it was clearly dirty anyway, so Lotte wanted nothing to do with it.
[11:51:23] <@TestZone> Locked? Not anymore. The rusty knob takes a little bit of force to turn, but eventually rotates and opens.
[11:51:44] <@TestZone> The door swings inward, hinges groaning. The room beyond is furnished identically to the first, but extends a good bit further back. The rear end of the room is deeply shadowed, but for an instant, something seems to move back there, past the edge of the single bulb's light.
[11:54:31] <Lapis> "I'm really not a fan of this. Usually creepers who kidnap teenage girls have a little more… y'know, taste than this." A sigh upon walking into the room, edges of the 'sticky towel' grasped… Red's really not that sticky today, not a whole lot happened. Yet, anyway. "I mean, couldn't it at least be some fancy mansion or something?"
[11:56:37] <Lotte> Who knows what could be hiding in the dark there? Some kind of monster, a slime creature, all sorts of unsanitary horrors! Lotte attempted to subtly slip into cover behind Lapis. "W-well, then. We'd better be moving on… Creepers? Kidnapping? Y-you mean some unwashed creepy stranger actually put me here in this dirty rat-hole?"
[11:58:21] <@TestZone> That's seeming more and more likely. The room is illuminated by a single incadescent bulb, dangling by a cord from the ceiling. It only illuminates the area around the door - beyond that is shadowed.
[11:58:28] <Lapis> "Well, it sure wasn't me who did it, kid. I mean, if you wanna feel better about yourself and that kinda stuff you can always pretend it was… I dunno, maybe a well-groomed giant monster or something? One without tentacles? Like… like what that thing over there probably is." A point to the other side of the room.
[11:59:17] <@TestZone> As if on cue, a dark mass hurtles forward. It fills nearly half the room's width - a gigantic white sphere,
[11:59:17] <@TestZone> glistening with moisture. Red veins pulse and throb just below its semi-transparent surface. As it rotates
[11:59:17] <@TestZone> towards the two girls, its iris comes into view: blood red and slitted vertically like a cat's eye. It regards
[11:59:17] <@TestZone> the girls coldly.
[12:01:02] <Lotte> A well-groomed monsterthat might not be all that bad, but this thing giving her the evil eye didn't qualify as well-groomed. "It's wet! That's just… Disgusting, what is that stuff? Can you at least wipe it off with your towel before we fight it?"
[12:01:03] <TestZone> Arrays, at your leisure.
[12:01:15] <Lapis> 'Kay~
[12:01:47] <Lotte> 10/6/4 for order purposes, I have swift action
[12:01:54] <Lotte> fmh
[12:02:12] <Lapis> Oh, that's weird, I read 'arrays' as 'anyway'
[12:02:34] <Lapis> gonna grab more coffee in a second, god that's weird- anyway, a7h/d8m/s3f
[12:02:57] <@TestZone> Tentacles spring from behind the monstrous eye - bare muscle, tipped with vicious scythes. They lash forward
[12:02:57] <@TestZone> at the two girls.
[12:06:10] <Lapis> "Okay, no thanks." A brief pause for another yawn before gripping Red in transformation stance… and quickly following up. With a whip to the side, whatever clothing she had been wearing underneath it (not much) was gone, because it exploded. What, this is a magical girl transformation sequence, what were you expecting? Quickly, not only did that prismatic chiffon bikini from last time show up again but with it, Red split apart into multiple stout cylinders that opened like handcuffs and clasped all over her arms, forming links of what appeared to be some kind of silly-looking white armor, wing images at the shoulders. In fact, there's even a (not very big) breastplate with miniature wing ornaments erupting from her back… of course, none of it covers very much to show off her monster tan or does it? Suddenly her skin faded from its beach-tanned self and started to become incredibly pale, with a twitch. This happened last time but, uh, it just wasn't as noticeable, right, that's it. "Okay! Let's do it~!"
[12:14:10] <Lotte> "Tentacles? Why is it always stupid tentacles? Those things better not touch me!" The air around Lotte shimmered and took on a surreal green hue. Her outfit seemed to change into a shifting silvery substance which melded itself into a strange, everchanging amalgam of bits and pieces of other costumes. A blue headband took its place on her forehead while robes surrounded her body, and
[12:14:10] <Lotte> yet the arms of the robes appeared to be some sort of old armor, one leg seemed to be covered in full length pants while the other was from shorts. Streaks of unnatural color highlighted her hair, including silver here, purple there, some orange, a tiny bit of green…
[12:14:10] <Lotte> Some sort of jet plane style "wings" appeared on her back, and a strange star-like symbol appeared on her chest. In her hands was a completely white orb. As her costume solidified for the moment, changing from the transforming substance into the various parts, it unleashed a wave of the excess energy from the transformation at the eyeballer.
[12:15:55] <Lotte> 2d6+8 Fury attack, come the fuck at me bro
[12:15:55] <RichterBelmont> Lotte, Fury attack, come the fuck at me bro: 15 [2d6=5,2]
[12:16:33] <TestZone> 2d6+3 All out attack, baby!
[12:16:34] <RichterBelmont> TestZone, All out attack, baby!: 13 [2d6=5,5]
[12:18:32] <Lotte> 2d6 fuck you magic strike
[12:18:33] <RichterBelmont> Lotte, fuck you magic strike: 12 [2d6=6,6]
[12:18:53] <Lapis> by the way, +4
[12:18:59] <Lapis> we're using that rule today
[12:19:01] <Lotte> oh yeah
[12:19:02] <Lotte> 16 damage
[12:19:03] <Lotte> ~
[12:19:08] <TestZone> 16 total? Nice.
[12:20:58] <@TestZone> The excess energy washes over the beast, burning a thousand tiny holes through its spongy flesh.
[12:22:01] <@TestZone> The creature - whatever it was - howls as a massive gash tears open across its pupil. A flood of purple ichor, glowing like a blacklight, gushes from the wound, soaking both girls. The eye collapses like a punctured
[12:22:01] <@TestZone> beachball, and lands motionless against one wall.
[12:23:38] <Lapis> "Whoaa, that's pretty cool." Lapis herself slunk around— despite its appearance, the armor wasn't really all that heavy. As she approached the deflated eye, the armor on her right arm quickly widened and shot out, becoming like some sort of blade. Of course, it was immediately used to poke it a few times. "… Yep."
[12:23:43] <Lapis> 1d6;1d3
[12:23:44] <RichterBelmont> Lapis, 1d6: 3 [1d6=3]; 1d3: 1 [1d3=1]
[12:24:57] <Lotte> 1d3;1d6
[12:24:58] <RichterBelmont> Lotte, 1d3: 3 [1d3=3]; 1d6: 3 [1d6=3]
[12:26:09] <TestZone> Lotte :Take 3 OC to Fury, oh boy
[12:26:28] <TestZone> Lapis: 3 OC to Magic
[12:24:45] <Lotte> Speaking of tears, there was one or two twinkling in Lotte's eyes as the disgusting fluid covered her. "S-s-s-slime! Get it off, get it off, getitoff!" She attempted to shake it off, wipe it off on the walls, even considered… "Is your towel dry?"
[12:25:14] <@TestZone> The purple goo clings to the girls' costumes for a moment, emanating a sickly-sweet smell. Then it begins to absorb, leaving the skin glowing and raw.
[12:26:33] <Lapis> Standing up, a look back. "Oh yeah, here ya go." The armor-sleeve totally shot itself out, being a half-towel hanging off her arm now. Of course, it actually was pretty dry, since they'd been out of it for a while.
[12:28:07] <@TestZone> At the far end of the room, another door sits at the center of the wall. It is essentially identical to the
[12:28:07] <@TestZone> one leading in - same peeling paint, same rust, same red light.
[12:31:05] <Lotte> Something about watching the disgusting, gooey slime enter her body made Lotte very, very angry. "I changed my mind. I'm going to clean this room, purge it by fire." Chaotic energies began to escape from Lotte as she attempted to open a small portal to some plane of fire and let its searing flames "purify" the room behind them.
[12:32:44] <Lapis> "Eek! Whoa, what the hell're you doin'?" A cringe or two before returning the drying device before it gets TOO dry— that pure white armor looks pretty cute, anyway. Of course, fire is dangerous, leading the swimmer to rush for the door before the room burns down. Yow.
[12:34:25] <Lotte> Lotte definitely failed to see what was wrong with suddenly setting an inhabited room on fire, "It was dirty, unclean, infested. I purified it, made it sanitary again!"
[12:34:55] <@TestZone> The creature's flesh doesn't seem very flammable, at first, but the overwhelming heat dries it enough to catch. The flames flicker over its body, flaring green from time to time and filling the room with putrid smoke.
[12:36:30] <@TestZone> Actually, that could be problematic - the smoke doesn't seem to be disappating. Fortunately, the whirring sound returns, as does the blinking. This time, they come from the second door. Again, the flashing red eventually transitions to a solid green, and the room is once again quiet except for the crackling of the eyebeast.
[12:36:30] <Lapis> A look of digust upon reaching the next door and clinging to it… probably turning a knob too, or at least making the best attempt possible. "You're frickin' crazy, you know that?"
[12:38:10] <@TestZone> This door opens more easily, swinging inward with a rush of air from the room beyond. It seems to be at a lower pressure than the previous room - the open door is rapidly letting the stinking smoke in.
[12:38:25] <Lotte> "I'm not crazy! I didn't choose to come here so I could light this place on fire. A slimy monster infested that room so I cleaned itI'm just trying to get out of here."
[12:39:39] <Lapis> "What, you mean you chose to come here at all? You can burn it down when we're not in it. C'mon, this way!" A slightly faster pace going through the door this time. Considering her weapons can be anything at any time, they're more ready than ready can probably get anyway.
[12:42:01] <@TestZone> This room is somewhat larger, and much better lit. Four cement columns support the ceiling, casting deep shadows across the corners of the room, but otherwise the room is brightly illuminated by a glowing chandelier. About 40 feet away, the opposite wall houses another door.
[12:44:07] <Lapis> Cautiously, a step into the room. Then another one. Then a few more… well, that isn't so bad. Not-so-observant Lapis made the decision to walk straight across the room to the door and she stuck to it.
[12:47:40] <Lotte> Lotte doggedly followed, "Nuh uh! I didn't choose to be here is all that I meant, and I don't even know where we are. Okay. The smoke and ash probably isn't much more sanitary and smells bad, so… I was wrong, I apologize."
[12:50:20] <Lapis> A look back with a smile on the trek across the room. "That's fine! Really, the sun's hot enough, it'll be fine when we get outside… I mean, aren't you hot enough in that already? Well… more than I probably am anyway." A giggle. That really is pretty tiny armor, and there aren't any greaves with it at least on her lower half there're those 'tails' from the outfit, and those are definitely pretty cute. But that's just narration talking.
[12:51:17] <@TestZone> Touching, but… As the girls cross the middle of the room, a faint scuttling noise can be heard above. Glancing upwards reveals a spindly man with a thick mustache wearing a Prussian Cavalry Officer's uniform, clinging to the ceiling upside down.
[12:51:59] <Lotte> "Excuse me, Mister, is this your rat-hole?"
[12:52:01] <Lapis> And a glance upward was had. "… Oh, come on."
[12:52:54] <@TestZone> He drops to the ground between the two girls, landing on all fours with his back toward the ground, spider-walk style. He glances from one to the other with bulging, hungry eyes.
[12:54:24] <Lapis> "Enough of that. I don't really like your face… and you probably don't have a whole lot of money or anything either, considering this craphole we got dropped on." An arm raises with a sigh, causing the 'armor' to split apart and circle it as much wider cylinders.
[12:54:41] <Lotte> Lotte cast a disapproving look at the man, "I don't think the ceiling has ever been cleaned, and I doubt the floor's much better…"
[12:55:21] <@TestZone> From behind the four columns, a quartet of pink rabbits bound out, forming a ring around the two girls. Their coats are the color of cotton candy, and spotted with mange. Over-sized incisors jut from their mouths.
[12:56:17] <@TestZone> With a toothless grin, the skinny man draws his saber. With his foot, no less.
[13:01:54] <Lotte> Mange-ridden rabbits? Absolutely disgusting, but the man seemed to be the leader here. Hopefully, if he's defeated, they'll vanish or something. Even more gross than normal rabbits. Lotte held out the orb in both hands, pointing it at Zinnheiler; it clouded a bloody red and bullets sprayed out like a machine gun.
[13:01:59] <Lotte> 2d6+8
[13:01:59] <RichterBelmont> Lotte, 2d6+8: 17 [2d6=4,5]
[13:03:00] <TestZone> 3d6+4 But Prussians are weak to machineguns!
[13:03:01] <RichterBelmont> TestZone, But Prussians are weak to machineguns!: 20 [3d6=4,6,6]
[13:03:11] <TestZone> 2d6 not this time, I guess
[13:03:11] <RichterBelmont> TestZone, not this time, I guess: 8 [2d6=6,2]
[13:04:30] <@TestZone> The lanky creature twirls his saber gleefully, relishing the sound of bullets pinging off the blade.
[13:05:20] <Lapis> And Lapis was a bit less… oh, what's the word for that? There's probably a word for it. Without even watching the result, her left arm's armor shot out and functioned as a grappling hook, grabbing onto one of the pillars and giving the teenager a second to be suspended in the air, during which her OTHER arm started glowing a bit. "Okay… take the air, convert it into… alright! Here we…. go~!" The cylinders contracting again, they quickly widened once more as a LASER BEAM shot out— Lapis made sure to spin as much as she could to aim for the rabbits before crashing back down.
[13:05:26] <Lotte> The orb's redness faded back to white.
[13:05:28] <Lapis> hope your body's ready for this
[13:05:58] <Lapis> 4d6+8 multiattack, -2 on each subsequent rabbit to a total of -6 for the fourth one, taking 2 OC
[13:05:59] <RichterBelmont> Lapis, multiattack, -2 on each subsequent rabbit to a total of -6 for the fourth one, taking 2 OC: 25 [4d6=4,6,5,2]
[13:06:05] <Lapis> 1d6 aaaand up to 6 oc
[13:06:07] <RichterBelmont> Lapis, aaaand up to 6 oc: 5 [1d6=5]
[13:06:19] <Lapis> 30, 28, 26, 24
[13:06:53] <TestZone> Hits all 4. Oh god, those poor little bunnies.
[13:07:22] <Lapis> 1d6+6+4 oh god I'm sorry— by the way -1 for each one after the first, total of -3, you know how it goes
[13:07:24] <RichterBelmont> Lapis, oh god I'm sorry— by the way -1 for each one after the first, total of -3, you know how it goes: 11 [1d6=1]
[13:07:29] <Lapis> lucky for them
[13:07:35] <Lapis> 11, 10, 9, 8
[13:10:07] <@TestZone> The four rabbits scream as the spinning laser cleaves through them. The screams of rabbits, by the way, are said to be quite piercing. Wet bunny-parts scatter across the ground, stinking of burned fur.
[13:11:22] <@TestZone> The man howls in fury, his mouth a gaping hole beneath his mustache. He swings the saber in a wide arc, striking at both girls.
[13:11:25] <Lapis> The crashing, unfortunately for the not-so-well-dressed teen herself, wasn't a very pleasant one, landing her right in front of the Prussian man. Or maybe behind, who knows? "Ow ow ow… that stings a little." The armor immediately contracted back.
[13:12:28] <Lotte> Lotte's jaw drops as she stares at the carnage. Disgusting, bloody corpses, but that's better than being bitten by a mange-ridden rabbit. "Wow… You must've been practicing…"
[13:16:03] <Lapis> With another yawn from the girl herself, the armor from both arms splits itself into shards which converge in the air in front of her and deflect more than enough saber to prevent damage to her perfectly tanned sk- oh, right. Well, there's always the concern that it'll stay there when she transforms back— you know, the scarring. And it's always better to not get hit by, like, weapons, right? "Practicing? Naaah, I'm just awesome… actually, I'd been wondering if doing something crazy like that would even work." Sniff sniff. "… Could've gone better, though."
[13:18:13] <Lotte> This time, the orb glowed green. The saber sliced right through Lotte; where it contacted changed into the silver liquid while the blade passed harmlessly before reforming into her body as usual.
[13:20:29] <Lapis> "See? That's pretty cool too— alright, stand over there, let's both get rid of this guy, 'kay?"
[13:20:35] <Lapis> I'm going to 7/3/8
[13:21:05] <Lotte> Wait
[13:21:09] <Lotte> Do you have 7 fury?
[13:22:47] <Lapis> nope, changing
[13:22:56] <Lapis> 3/8/7— and I take an OC to heart
[13:23:04] <Lapis> I took this effect because I knew I'd derp
[13:23:15] <Lotte> okay
[13:23:22] <Lotte> let's team attack the fuck out of this dude
[13:23:25] <Lapis> k
[13:23:50] <TestZone> nice
[13:24:05] <Lapis> Hmm, I wonder— okay, let's say it this way so that it makes sense
[13:24:09] <Lotte> unfortunately, that means he gets to go first
[13:24:12] <Lapis> My turn started after Lotte holding
[13:24:21] <Lapis> and the second my turn started, I used that effect as a free action
[13:24:27] <TestZone> Gotcha.
[13:24:30] <Lotte> What effect?
[13:24:31] <Lapis> to have the fury but it's still my turn… that acceptable?
[13:24:41] <Lapis> Can switch arrays midturn by taking 1 OC to whatever support becomes
[13:25:01] <Lapis> That way it's more like I was bullshitting the system and less like I just forgot, hur hur
[13:25:56] <@TestZone> The Prussian screams, spittle spraying everywhere, and reverses his saber in a vicious backstroke aimed at Lotte's head.
[13:28:23] <Lapis> "… That's gross."
[13:27:53] <TestZone> 2d6+5 at Lotte
[13:27:54] <RichterBelmont> TestZone, at Lotte: 13 [2d6=5,3]
[13:28:01] <TestZone> ew, how weak
[13:28:22] <Lotte> okay let's see
[13:28:25] <Lotte> 2d6+6
[13:28:25] <RichterBelmont> Lotte, 2d6+6: 17 [2d6=5,6]
[13:28:30] <Lotte> motherfucker
[13:28:31] <Lotte> 1d6
[13:28:31] <RichterBelmont> Lotte, 1d6: 5 [1d6=5]
[13:28:32] <Lapis> god damn dicemaid
[13:30:09] <Lotte> "Really gross." A shield composed of a network of portals enveloped Lotte; both the spittle and the saberstrike were carried through a series of alternate dimensions, interlinked by the portals, until safely passing through the final portal on the other side, having no contact with the girl.
[13:30:23] <Lapis> Converging in front of Lapis, the armor began to take form into something blunt… but then with a pouty look it began to change its form into the weakest of blades. Still, the pure white katana that formed had serrated edges and looked incredibly painful to get slashed by— something the Prussian was about to learn. Lotte's nullifying the attack only got a smirk as she moved her stance into one ready to strike. "Okay, on three. One… two…!"
[13:30:49] <Lapis> 4d6+3+2 like I'm ever gonna use fury anyway
[13:30:51] <RichterBelmont> Lapis, like I'm ever gonna use fury anyway: 20 [4d6=5,4,4,2]
[13:30:56] <Lapis> GOOD CALL, ME
[13:31:24] <Lotte> 3d6+10 HEAVEN OR HELL LET'S ROCK
[13:31:25] <RichterBelmont> Lotte, HEAVEN OR HELL LET'S ROCK: 20 [3d6=3,4,3]
[13:33:17] <Lotte> "Three." Out of the portals, and endless number of arms and hands reached out towards the Prussian… And proceeded to mob the youman with a near infinite number of interdimensional punches from creatures of various species and size, from the tiny fist of a human child to a big old digusting, reptilian, punching-tentacle.
[13:35:31] <Lapis> And at the same time, a graceful slash across the Prussian's back as the girl's entire body twisted, eyes closed… before opening them facing the opposite direction, swinging the blade outward. And then, a snap of her fingers as the carnage converged.
[13:32:37] <TestZone> 2d6+5 Good luck, Zinny
[13:32:38] <RichterBelmont> TestZone, Good luck, Zinny: 12 [2d6=2,5]
[13:32:53] <TestZone> Here comes massive damage
[13:33:13] <Lapis> 1d6+4+2 attacking its weak point for
[13:33:14] <RichterBelmont> Lapis, attacking its weak point for: 9 [1d6=3]
[13:33:51] <Lotte> Hmm
[13:34:06] <TestZone> 11, actually. Team Attack + OC?
[13:34:20] <Lapis> Oh, I forgot to add the stat, herp
[13:34:28] <Lapis> 4 was OC, +3 makes it 11
[13:34:34] <Lapis> er
[13:34:34] <Lapis> 12
[13:34:38] <TestZone> oh wait, thought you were bard. Yeah.
[13:34:47] <Lotte> 1d6+8
[13:34:47] <Lapis> or wait
[13:34:47] <RichterBelmont> Lotte, 1d6+8: 11 [1d6=3]
[13:34:48] <Lapis> +1
[13:34:51] <Lapis> I'm not using heart
[13:34:53] <Lapis> WAS NOT THINKING
[13:34:57] <Lapis> 10 and 11 then
[13:38:58] <@TestZone> The cavalry-officer-turned-human-spider stares, disbelieving, as the fists pummel him bloody. Smoke rises slowly from his uniform, which has been opend across the back, and a gout of red gushes out. A look of comprehension crosses his face, and he collapses among the remains of his rabbit horde, arms and legs sprawled in all directions.
[13:40:00] <Lapis> The blade quickly splits into pieces and coats her arms in rings once again, with a smiling head-turn back. "Hey, you're pretty good!"
[13:43:48] <Lotte> A slight smirk; she hadn't gotten dirty in this fight, so her confidence was steadily returning. "Hmph, I should think so! I wasn't the one to get captured by a slime monster."
[13:44:28] <@TestZone> Suddenly, Lapis notices something rise to its feet behind Lotte, who remains unaware. Impossibly tall, Zinnheiler grins down at her, fingers flexing.
[13:45:09] <Lapis> Not quite a gasp… more like a sigh. "Yeah, no you don't."
[13:45:24] <Lapis> By the way, during the pause, I'm gonna take a magic change, that okay?
[13:45:28] <Lapis> permanent of course
[13:45:56] <TestZone> hmmmm not much of a pause there…
[13:46:12] <Lapis> well, technically the rules say you can do that as a free action mid-battle too, just not flares
[13:46:36] <Lapis> but if you wanna not allow it sure, I'll keep it
[13:46:51] <TestZone> Sigh, yeah, I'm just always hoping for lolisplosions. Go ahead, maybe fluff it as happening during your attack?
[13:47:16] <Lotte> If I'm not aware, I figure something like 6/8/6 hfm
[13:47:40] <Lapis> Well, if it's higher than 5 you can't take more OC on it anyway, at least not manually. I'd have to get 6,6 on a 2d6 to blow up anyway. So the point's kinda to filter it.
[13:47:54] <Lapis> But, 873 if I can get rid of it
[13:48:10] <Lapis> 2d6 and that said…
[13:48:10] <RichterBelmont> Lapis, and that said…: 5 [2d6=4,1]
[13:48:26] <Lapis> FUCK YES
[13:48:55] <TestZone> 2d6+5 against your 13
[13:48:56] <RichterBelmont> TestZone, against your 13: 16 [2d6=5,6]
[13:49:07] <TestZone> 1d6 oh god, was that a clash??
[13:49:08] <RichterBelmont> TestZone, oh god, was that a clash??: 1 [1d6=1]
[13:49:13] <Lotte> TECHNICOLOR YAWN?
[13:49:15] <Lapis> wait what
[13:49:16] <Lapis> ^
[13:49:22] <Lotte> He was rolling a change, dawg
[13:49:22] <Lapis> That was my change roll, not attack
[13:49:23] <TestZone> oh, damnit.
[13:49:30] <Lapis> don't worry, I never forget mods~
[13:49:35] <TestZone> I got all excited, too.
[13:49:40] <Lapis> DON'T YOU LOVE THAT
[13:49:41] <TestZone> But techniolor is awesome
[13:50:01] <Lapis> 2d6+8 don't worry, for you I'll not take OC on it
[13:50:03] <RichterBelmont> Lapis, don't worry, for you I'll not take OC on it: 13 [2d6=2,3]
[13:50:10] <Lapis> hahahaha it's a 13 anyway, see
[13:50:22] <TestZone> 2d6+5 only fair to reroll
[13:50:22] <RichterBelmont> TestZone, only fair to reroll: 13 [2d6=3,5]
[13:50:31] <Lapis> naw, keep it
[13:51:16] <TestZone> 's cool. Higher base attribute wins, fluff your attack
[13:51:36] <Lapis> Is that official? I'm pretty sure it's a 1d6-off on a tie.
[13:52:11] <Lotte> >Break ties first by whoever has the higher base attribute, then by rolling an extra die.
[13:52:15] <Lotte> page 13
[13:52:22] <Lapis> Huh, guess he just changed it.
[13:52:27] <Lotte> that's new, I guess
[13:52:28] <Lotte> yeah
[13:52:54] <Lapis> 1d6+4 well if you're sure though
[13:52:56] <RichterBelmont> Lapis, well if you're sure though: 10 [1d6=6]
[13:53:51] <TestZone> Nice.
[13:54:20] <Lapis> Also KABOOM. A spray of compressed air particles mixed with the dust in the room converted into the shape of… uh, the shape of FUCKING LASERS, we'll say. But there's probably nobody paying attention to that considering how the wielder of said laserbeams is hunched over vomiting rainbows immediately afterward.
[13:55:11] <@TestZone> As suddenly as he was there, the officer is gone. The attack passes cleanly through the space where he was, shattering the pillar behind him. A rain of cement chunks showers down; the target is nowhere to be seen. All that remains is the echo of a cackling laugh. Interestingly, the Prussian's body remains where it fell, broken and twisted.
[13:56:18] <Lotte> What. Lapis' multicolored vomit sufficiently horrified Lotte, causing her to stumble backwards and fall right where the Prussian previously was. "W-what are you doing? Leave me alone!" The younger of the pair held up her again-white orb defensively.
[13:56:51] <Lotte> …Pointing it right at Lapis.
[13:58:05] <Lapis> Well, she'd definitely begun wiping herself off by now, that was definitely kinda weird. "I… holy friggin' crap, I overdid it with that one, I think." A giggle, ignoring the orb-point even. The rings converge again. "Sorry 'bout that, guy didn't wanna give up. C'mon, thattaway." A step anyway. It's not like she's gonna fire that thing.
[13:59:55] <Lotte> Lotte hesitated a moment before wiping the dust off of her costume. She silently followed Lapis onwards, keeping a safe distance.
[14:01:18] <Lapis> "… And 'sides, THAT time…" An excited tremble. "At least I so totally wasn't backing away scared of the thing. It felt great, too!" Swooning a bit, before moving toward the door…
[14:01:56] <@TestZone> Ahead of them lies the next door. The red light beside it finishes blinking, then goes dark as the green one turns on. This dook looks slightly newer - the green paint isn't quite as peeled, and a shape vaguely resembling a "3" is recognizable. How many doors waited beyond that was anyone's guess.
[14:02:13] <@TestZone> -------—
[12:07:05] <@Oxford> The magical duo stands before an iron door with a faint green "3" stenciled on it. The lock has just come off, if the green light next to the door is any indication. The room they are in contains the bodies of a lanky germanic cavalry officer and his pack of attack rabbits.
[12:10:21] <Lapis> Unfortunately, possibly for the well-being of the two of them, neither of them were very much into looting corpses, else they'd probably find some sort of rarity-90 weapon or— oop, wrong setting. Close enough! The dumb one that let the joys of teenagerhood get to her head was already prancing toward the door despite what'd just happened, because apparently she'd had enough teenage drama. Something like that? Something like that. This door's getting opened so hard that if it were opened any harder there wouldn't be a door or even a wall there at all.
[12:11:38] <@Oxford> Door Number 3 swings open without so much as a squeak. The room within looks much cleaner than the last - the cinder block walls have been covered over with drywall, and a cheap linoleum floor with a tacky floral pattern has replaced the bare cement from before.
[12:12:29] <Lotte> Lotte grumbled a quiet "As if I was scared, it was just unsanitary." Very quiet, because Lapis would probably prove her wrong if she heard. With her ego returned to working order, she followed her… friend? Acquaintance. Eyes had to keep moving, there'd be something in here, too, and it wasn't going to be friendly or clean.
[12:13:20] <@Oxford> A rectangular flourescent light fixture flickers to life as the door opens - apparently on a motion sensor. At the center of the room is a small drain; the floor is sloped ever-so-slightly inward to provide drainage.
[12:14:38] <Lapis> "Oh hey, lookit this place, this any nicer for you? It looks less… dusty." With a goofy giggle following, it's fairly obvious that the pale-but-should-be-tanned teen doesn't realize it's a giant bathroom. Considering how her armor's still on and it's made out of a towel, her walking straight ahead is done pretty ignorantly too.
[12:15:55] <Lotte> The obsessively neat girl's eyes light up with (likely false) hope, "Maybe it's some kind of shower! Oh, I don't even know how long I was asleep here or when my last shower was. So gross… But I don't see any soap."
[12:16:22] <@Oxford> The assault begins without warning - before Lapis can reply, an invisible fist hurtles down at her from behind.
[12:16:42] <Oxford> Arrays! and be glad MB doesn't have flat-footed rules
[12:16:43] <Lapis> fuck yeah AoOs
[12:16:48] <Lapis> … fuck no, no AoOs
[12:16:58] <Lapis> (it should get a surprise round anyway, those are fun)
[12:17:24] <Oxford> (It's got Ambush, so it kind of takes it into account…)
[12:17:42] <Lapis> a7h/d3f/s8m then, let's filter these and do it the fun way
[12:18:35] <Lotte> fucking swift action, okay
[12:18:57] <Lotte> 10/6/4
[12:19:02] <Lotte> fmh
[12:19:20] * Oxford changes topic to 'Gnarlon O'Kama, Guardian of the Abyss -> Lotte -> Lapis'
[12:20:17] <Oxford> 4d6+11 Here it comes
[12:20:18] <DiceMaid-9001> Oxford, Here it comes: 23 [4d6=4,4,3,1]
[12:20:28] <Lapis> haw
[12:20:44] <Lapis> 4d6+7 I hope you caught the warning that I was going to be clashing ANYWAY
[12:20:45] <DiceMaid-9001> Lapis, I hope you caught the warning that I was going to be clashing ANYWAY: 22 [4d6=3,6,4,2]
[12:20:50] <Lapis> 1d6 sorry bro
[12:20:52] <DiceMaid-9001> Lapis, sorry bro: 4 [1d6=4]
[12:21:23] <Lotte> being youma is suffering
[12:21:24] <Oxford> Clashing a surprise attack! Monkey is fucked.
[12:21:38] <Oxford> Your fluff.
[12:21:46] <Lapis> "Aw crap!" As it does, bits of armor shoot out in every direction out of surprise. And as for what they do, we're about to find out.
[12:22:48] <Lapis> 1d6+6+3 ALMOST FORGOT
[12:22:50] <DiceMaid-9001> Lapis, ALMOST FORGOT: 15 [1d6=6]
[12:25:15] <Lapis> Actually! What they do is turn into a bunch of weapon-shapes and converge on the attacker, essentially showering it with cutlery as well as exotic tools like tribal spears and silly things that come off of the top of the wielder's head. That sounds like a pretty benevolent idea.
[12:26:28] <@Oxford> The beast roars in surprise. As the barrage of silverware connects, arcs of electricity trace the rough outline of a massive primate. It flickers for a moment before becoming fully visible. The creature is 12 feet tall and covered with porcupine quills, but it's undoubtedly the shape of a gorilla. Its huge arms seem to make up the largest part of its bulk.
[12:28:03] <Lapis> A gasp. "Whoop, sorry about that! I bet you just came in here to take a shower too, huh? … You sure look like you need it."
[12:28:52] <@Oxford> It misses its own strike, but the quills lash out in passing, as though they had a mind of their own. One tears a light gash across Lapis' leg.
[12:29:07] <Oxford> Oh, and take 2 damage, Lapis
[12:31:15] <Lapis> And that one gets a good screaming-at. When you have a bod like etc etc etc— let's just say she's glad transformed and mundane forms are so different, but the decision to have no leg-armor is gonna be fixed soon. In fact, it's fixed immediately even, considering it happens as the armor's re-forming itself. "Whoa! … Okay, maybe you're gonna need a different kind of shower."
[12:29:41] <Lotte> 3d6+8
[12:29:41] <DiceMaid-9001> Lotte, 3d6+8: 19 [3d6=6,1,4]
[12:29:45] <Lotte> 1d6
[12:29:46] <DiceMaid-9001> Lotte, 1d6: 3 [1d6=3]
[12:30:18] <Oxford> 3d6+6 You can do it, gorillabro
[12:30:18] <DiceMaid-9001> Oxford, You can do it, gorillabro: 17 [3d6=6,4,1]
[12:30:32] <Oxford> 1d6 maybe
[12:30:33] <DiceMaid-9001> Oxford, maybe: 3 [1d6=3]
[12:30:43] <Oxford> Nope. Roll damage
[12:30:51] <Oxford> (got a 17, so 20 total.)
[12:30:56] <Lotte> 1d6+8
[12:30:57] <DiceMaid-9001> Lotte, 1d6+8: 11 [1d6=3]
[12:31:22] <Oxford> Gorilla's dead. Fluff your attack and take 2 damage.
[12:34:25] <Lotte> Lotte blinked twice; she hadn't even seen the attack coming, and yet Lapis not only detected the attack, but brutally countered it. That was surprisingly cool. The chaos mage had further plans, though. Her orb glowed a bloody red as a disproportionately large shape dragged its way out. A hand, arm, the rest of a huge, glowing red body. The summoned entity threw itself at the monster in
[12:34:25] <Lotte> a giant, burning bearhug before detonating itself, feedback from the pines' penetration of the summons' exterior sending a small wave of pain to Lotte.
[12:37:17] <Lapis> Considering the probable size of the room, attacker #1 would likely have been thrown against a wall from the explosion, provoking probably another shriek. Of course, she'd stand right back up, brushing herself off as the armor almost psychically shifted its positioning and returned as she did so— following up with a sniff. Then another one. Sniff sniff. "… Oh man, it's ALWAYS gonna be burning things, isn't it? Ughhh, I really do need a shower right about now."
[12:39:24] <@Oxford> The gigantic ape grapples for a moment with the summoned creature, but finds itself pinned moments before the detonation. It cannot fight free, and takes the full force of the blast. Its charred corpse is propelled against the far door, where it impacts with a sickening crunch, and lies still.
[12:39:38] <Lapis> Mind if I take a flare when there's a break?
[12:40:00] <Oxford> Yeah, go ahead
[12:40:06] <Lapis> 1d6 kk, doing it the fun way though
[12:40:08] <DiceMaid-9001> Lapis, kk, doing it the fun way though: 5 [1d6=5]
[12:40:15] <Lapis> >temp self

[12:40:19] <Lapis> 2d6 heart table
[12:40:20] <DiceMaid-9001> Lapis, heart table: 10 [2d6=6,4]
[12:40:48] <Lapis> bisonyes.wav
[12:42:25] <Lotte> Pyrostreak increased to two. Lotte shook her head guiltily, "No, I'm sorry about that. I just held up the orb and waited for it to do something, I didn't really try to make it happen like that… Messier than I hoped, too. I think I ruined the shower room." One more head shake, "My fault."
[12:44:14] <Lapis> A shrug returns. "Oh well, not like we're gonna LIVE here or anything." All of a sudden, the charred smell gets a bit… different. And of course, it gets the same reaction. Sniff. Sniff sniff! … Sniff sniff sniff. If anything, it could be called a 'what the hell IS this' sniff, because it hardly really smells like anything when there isn't a Charm character around. "… Uh, is it just me, or does it suddenly not smell like it's burning anymore?" Sniff sniff sniff sniff sniff sniff.
[12:47:07] <Lotte> Live there? Yeah, no way that could happen. "Guess you're right, but I really wanted a shower…" Strange smell? Well, the burning certainly smelled pretty bad, but maybe there was something else there. "I'm not sure, something's off, but I don't think it was that way before, was it? Is something else in here? It doesn't really smell dirty, at least."
[12:48:35] <@Oxford> Door Number 4 - as it's increasingly clearly labelled - has almost no rust at all on it. The red light has already finished its transition to green, and the absence of whirring probably means the lock is finished unlocking as well.
[12:49:31] <Lapis> Sniffing around the room, eventually she stumbled upon the actual source. Oh. "… Oh. I uh…" A puzzled expression, as if to say 'huh' without actually saying it. "Well, I guess I don't smell BAD at least. A little too girly, it's kinda nauseating." With a shrug, this door gets pranced up to and opened as will. Lotte will never make it first to these things.
[12:52:16] <Lotte> Lotte could care less about being first to open the dirty doors. If anything, she appreciated having Lapis to do it, but the attempted to covertly lag behind for just a moment as she poured out the remaining redness within the orb onto the body of the gorillapine, incinerating the body, before hurrying to follow Lapis. Pyrostreak increased to 3.
[12:53:41] <@Oxford> This room is nicer by far than any of the previous ones. The floor is carpet - a boring shade of gray, but exuding that freshly-vacuumed smell. The wallpaper is a tasteful marbled pattern, and seems reasonably clean.
[12:55:36] <Lotte> Lotte takes in a huge, much fresher breath of air and sighs luxuriously, "Why couldn't we have been put in this room? It's not as neat as I keep mine, but I wouldn't have minded nearly as much as that dirty, hard floor."
[12:56:24] <@Oxford> More noteworthy are the contents of the room. For the first time, there are some items of furniture in the room - a sofa, some chairs, and an early-model black-and-white television set. A few TV-dinner trays complete the set for a 1950s family room, but they're not arrayed in any sensible order: everything's scattered around or piked in the corners.
[12:57:48] <Lapis> "Heh heh. It's already been like I haven't even had my own room for the last few months, so this isn't really anything new. It's pretty cute that someone's nice enough to set all this stuff up for us." A nod and another nod while walking inside, looking around, getting a puzzled expression while looking around, and then belching a rainbow. The usual!
[13:01:11] <Lotte> TV Dinner trays? Huh, they hadn't seen food in here so far. It was probably some kind of a trap, but how long HAD it been since she'd eaten? Lotte wasn't sure how long she'd been in this place, let alone asleep. This room was definitely different from the previous ones, for better or (more likely) for worse. "You do smell kinda strange, you know. If only there was a shower…"
[13:02:39] <@Oxford> One of the trays seems to skitter across the floor. For a moment, it could be dismissed as an over-active imagination, but then one of the chairs stands up and cartwheels across the room.
[13:03:07] <Lapis> And in response, Lapis makes one of those weird sounds that's like a combination between a sigh, a groan, and a yawn. "Well, my bad! It wasn't like I- … oh, come ON." Armor-arms at the ready. Her tiny greaves start to bounce up too.
[13:03:35] <@Oxford> By this time, every piece of furniture is in motion, moving erratically in a wide circle around the center of the room. They begin to move faster and faster, the wind picking up as the tornado of junk tightens into a twirling spiral shape.
[13:04:52] <Lotte> Figures. Just figures. Lotte backed away from the spiral, scanning across the room. Shouldn't let some small item sneak up on her. It was going to hurt to destroy such a clean room. "Careful, could be a distraction!"
[13:05:21] <Lapis> "Sure, sure! I still wanna blow it up!"
[13:05:51] <@Oxford> At the center of the twister is… nothing. Visible, at least. In the back of the girls' minds, however, an ominous howling fills their thoughts with dread.
[13:04:36] <Lapis> check my hipster 3/8/7 array
[13:04:39] <Lapis> bro, come at, etc
[13:04:57] <Lotte> hipster
[13:05:20] <Lotte> 8/8/4
[13:06:36] * Oxford changes topic to 'Eriyon, the Psychic Maelstrom -> Lotte -> Lapis'
[13:07:28] <Oxford> 2d6+10 against your Support, Lotte
[13:07:29] <DiceMaid-9001> Oxford, against your Support, Lotte: 17 [2d6=2,5]
[13:08:41] <Lotte> 4d6+4 allah help me
[13:08:41] <DiceMaid-9001> Lotte, allah help me: 15 [4d6=3,4,1,3]
[13:08:45] <Lotte> okay fuck you
[13:08:54] <Lapis> oh man, I just checked, magic shield is defense-only
[13:08:57] <Lapis> OTHERWISE I'D HELP
[13:09:05] <Lotte> ;_;
[13:10:53] <@Oxford> The howl rises in pitch within Lotte's mind, and to her horror, words begin to form. With cruel truths, they tear at the roots of her most cherished friendships.
[13:09:22] <Oxford> Take 5 Strain, any relationships of your choice
[13:09:43] <Lapis> I like the looks of this
[13:11:25] <Oxford> You can fluff what it says exactly, if you like
[13:15:42] <Lapis> oh, just realized, I totally could've helped to +2 that
[13:15:52] <Lapis> wouldn't matter because tying rules we're using though, herp
[13:15:53] <Lotte> jerk
[13:16:14] <Lotte> 3d6+6
[13:16:15] <DiceMaid-9001> Lotte, 3d6+6: 11 [3d6=3,1,1]
[13:16:33] <Oxford> (oh, where'd you take the Strain, etc?)
[13:17:46] <Lotte> The voice in her mind seeking to pick apart her psyche was like a twisted psychologist, starting with her parents. If they loved her, why would they let her be taken here? How could they not notice her endangering herself fighting monsters like this in the past? How could they possibly consider her more important than their work? …And then her brother. Wouldn't Edgar be happy if she
[13:17:46] <Lotte> vanished here? Then he could have everything to himself. Nan probably didn't care very much either, she was just a paycheck to her. Lotte screeched at the top of her lungs, magically charging her voice with a small wave of energy, "Shut up! …I don't want to listen to you."
[13:17:19] <Oxford> Also, 3d6+8
[13:17:33] <Oxford> 3d6+8 er…
[13:17:34] <DiceMaid-9001> Oxford, er…: 21 [3d6=4,6,3]
[13:17:51] <Oxford> 1d6 doesn't matter, wasn't a clash
[13:17:52] <DiceMaid-9001> Oxford, doesn't matter, wasn't a clash: 5 [1d6=5]
[13:18:09] <Lapis> coming at, bro
[13:18:16] <Lapis> HOWEVER, not attacking it
[13:18:20] <Lotte> 2/parents, 2/edgar, 1/nan
[13:18:27] <Lapis> Gonna use support to read it, 'kay?
[13:18:44] <Lapis> Page 15 for reference, probably no OC acceptable but I'm not gonna use it anyway.
[13:18:51] <Lapis> 2d6+7 GO
[13:18:51] <DiceMaid-9001> Lapis, GO: 15 [2d6=4,4]
[13:18:58] <Oxford> gotcha
[13:19:34] <Oxford> What're you finding out?
[13:19:42] <Lapis> >Learn their Resistance and Vulnerability
[13:19:45] <Lapis> That one.
[13:19:50] <Lapis> herp, browser borking
[13:20:49] <Oxford> Weakness is Magic, Strong against Heart
[13:20:46] <Lapis> "What, you mean it's actually… doing something?" The swimmer squinted at it, trying to use some sort of weird magic to find out what's actually… inside the tornado. Adapting to it, maybe? Because her power totally does that.
[13:23:54] <Lapis> Glance, glance, glance… Shrug. "Looks kinda funky. Funky and evil. Should probably just hit it with sparkles and glitter like always, none of that 'I FIGHT FOR MY FRIENDS' stuff. Least, that's what I'm gonna do." A yawn, while the Lapis Cannon forms itself.
[13:24:20] <Lotte> Teary eyed and frustrated at her attack's failure, Lotte nodded rapidly, "It's in my head, and it won't leave me alone!" Already, she was having trouble looking at some of the people she cared about in the same way, even though she knew it was just because of the monster's psychic assault, much of what it said appeared either true or very feasible.
[13:24:47] <Lapis> "Hmm, yeah, that's a problem. Let's blow it up."
[13:24:26] <Oxford> NEXT ROUND: Arrays?
[13:24:56] <Lotte> 884
[13:24:59] <Lapis> 873
[13:24:59] <Lotte> Or
[13:25:00] <Lotte> no
[13:25:09] <Lapis> no, you should totally use magic
[13:25:10] <Lotte> I can spare more resolve than strain
[13:25:19] <Lotte> 848
[13:29:07] <Lapis> "Okay." Lined up, the cylinders expand to where their out further than Lapis' entire body stands. Everything inside of them starts glowing. "Here we go! Buuuuuuuuurst…"
[13:28:26] <Lapis> Remember finisher rules? We're gonna funtimes.
[13:28:47] <Oxford> Stops on a 1, or on a 6?
[13:29:12] <Lapis> no, it stops on 6
[13:29:19] <Lapis> it's just 1d6 between us
[13:29:22] <Lapis> until someone gets 6
[13:29:25] <Oxford> yea
[13:29:29] <Lapis> If I get it, then damage equal to every non-6
[13:29:35] <Lapis> if you get it, nothing happens and I blow my turn
[13:29:36] <Lapis> 1d6 GO
[13:29:37] <DiceMaid-9001> Lapis, GO: 6 [1d6=6]
[13:29:39] <Lapis> …
[13:29:42] <Oxford> …
[13:29:42] <Lapis> So 1 damage!
[13:29:49] <Oxford> >non-6
[13:29:55] <Lotte> laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame
[13:29:55] <Oxford> jk, that'd be lame.
[13:29:59] <Lapis> I don't think it can go below 0… BUT IF YOU WANT IT TO
[13:30:08] <Lotte> lamind
[13:30:10] <Lapis> go ahead and do one too though, I believe if there's a tie
[13:30:11] <Lapis> it keeps going
[13:30:25] <Oxford> 1d6 cool
[13:30:26] <DiceMaid-9001> Oxford, cool: 2 [1d6=2]
[13:30:28] <Lapis> or something like that
[13:30:28] <Lapis> boo
[13:30:43] <Oxford> No such luck. 1 damage, fluff your attack
[13:31:11] <Oxford> (and 1 OC goes to Magic, yeah?)
[13:31:15] <Lapis> yeah
[13:31:12] <Lapis> "Cliiiiiiimax!" A tiny burst of energy appears in the middle of the tornado and… the cylinders contract. That's it? "… That's it?" That's it.
[13:32:20] <@Oxford> One of the trays drops to the floor and lies still. Well, at least it's something.
[13:34:20] <Lotte> 4d6+6 Powerrrrrrrful
[13:34:21] <DiceMaid-9001> Lotte, Powerrrrrrrful: 17 [4d6=5,3,2,1]
[13:34:27] <Lotte> ;_;
[13:34:49] <Oxford> 5d6+10 YOUMA DEFENSE CANNOT BE BEAT
[13:34:50] <DiceMaid-9001> Oxford, YOUMA DEFENSE CANNOT BE BEAT: 24 [5d6=3,6,3,1,1]
[13:34:58] <Lapis> it mad
[13:35:01] <Oxford> 1d6 EVER
[13:35:02] <DiceMaid-9001> Oxford, EVER: 4 [1d6=4]
[13:38:33] <Lotte> The orb started to glow a deep, vibrant green as Lotte held it out towards the maelstrom, "Be quiet, my family looops!" Her fingers slipped and the orb dropped to the ground, the energy dissipating. However, despite its glassy appearance, it bounced right back into her hands. Lotte's weapon might be in one piece, but her concentration was shattered.
[13:39:35] <Lapis> A frustrated groan— it's disrupting BOTH of them. "Aaaagh! Calm DOWN! Get over there, we're gonna do this again. On three…"
[13:42:37] <Oxford> 2d6+8 At least its out of PP (against your Support)
[13:42:38] <DiceMaid-9001> Oxford, At least its out of PP (against your Support): 19 [2d6=5,6]
[13:42:43] <Oxford> 1d6
[13:42:44] <DiceMaid-9001> Oxford, 1d6: 4 [1d6=4]
[13:42:49] <Lapis> Who's it against?
[13:42:56] <Oxford> sorry, Lotte
[13:43:06] <Oxford> blood in the water, etc.
[13:43:12] <Lapis> you're just doing this because you KNOW I can't shield ;_;
[13:43:22] <Lapis> actually, does help take a turn, checkin'
[13:43:47] <Lapis> nope, just free +2, weird
[13:43:51] <Lapis> it doesn't even say there's a roll for it
[13:44:03] <Lapis> Well, I don't think even a +2 can save the poor kid, so whatever
[13:44:17] <Lotte> at least it's fury, this time
[13:44:18] <Lotte> So +8
[13:48:37] <@Oxford> There was a good reason for that. The voices in her head had increased in speed to a maniac's pace, babbling and occasionally cackling. It must've found her memories: a flood of rememberances came rushing back, filling her with guilt.
[13:43:12] <Lapis> you're just doing this because you KNOW I can't shield ;_;
[13:44:17] <Lotte> at least it's fury, this time
[13:44:18] <Lotte> So +8
[13:44:40] <Oxford> Whoa, wait a sec
[13:45:10] <Oxford> Yeah, that's really poorly written
[13:45:13] <Lapis> really is
[13:45:18] <Lapis> I'm pretty sure it means it takes a turn
[13:45:27] <Lapis> but nobody would ever do that, +2 is worthless for a whole turn
[13:45:48] <Oxford> Probably, since its a move. At least its automatic.
[13:46:23] <Oxford> In that one rare occasion where 5d6+8 won't win, but 5d6+10 will, I guess it'd make sense
[13:46:38] <Lotte> Let's see
[13:46:47] <Oxford> But really, that's still pretty bad. Maybe it works better non-combat…
[13:46:47] <Lotte> I have 0 fury OC, 2 heart, 3 magic
[13:47:13] <Oxford> Yeah, Furry can definitely take some OC
[13:47:17] <Lotte> >furry
[13:47:21] <Lotte> ishygddt
[13:47:26] <Lotte> And taking 5 strain will break at least two relationships
[13:47:34] <Oxford> opps
[13:47:37] <Lotte> 4d6+8
[13:47:38] <DiceMaid-9001> Lotte, 4d6+8: 21 [4d6=6,1,3,3]
[13:47:41] <Lotte> 1d6
[13:47:41] <DiceMaid-9001> Lotte, 1d6: 1 [1d6=1]
[13:47:43] <Lotte> Really
[13:47:44] <Lotte> REALLY
[13:47:45] <Oxford> wow
[13:47:46] <Lotte> REAAAAALLY
[13:48:02] <Oxford> Being Lotte is suffering.
[13:48:15] <Lotte> >mfw +2 would make the difference
[13:48:19] <Lotte> fml
[13:49:20] <Lotte> Actually
[13:49:27] <Lotte> That breaks all three of my relationships
[13:49:31] <Oxford> ouch
[13:49:32] <Lotte> And leaves 1 point of strain left over
[13:57:11] <Oxford> End of turn/New arrays?
[13:58:19] <Lapis> AWGAY
[13:58:22] <Lapis> sorry 'bout that
[13:58:23] <Lotte> 848
[13:58:28] <Lapis> Kyaaa~
[13:58:32] <Lapis> 837
[13:54:02] <Lotte> Lotte's head was turned down sadly, tears starting to run freely down the kid's tortured face, "Shut up! B-be quiet, I-I don't want to hear it… No! Y-you're right, you're right, so go away. I'm already alone, you're right! Please don't make me listen to you any more, that's enough, I already said you're right!"
[13:59:24] <Lapis> "Shut up! Didn't your parents tell you not to listen to demonic voices in your head?! Line up, we're gonna trash this thing." Cannon aimed with a few steps to the side, and…!
[14:00:08] <Lotte> Magical team attack?
[14:00:13] <Lapis> you fuckin' bet
[14:00:28] <Lapis> let's do 'em together then~
[14:01:01] <Oxford> (oh snap, team attackers must have a relationship. I'll assume you guys do have one, then?)
[14:01:10] <Lapis> Yeah, that's what I said, we did it earlier
[14:01:16] <Lapis> because we technically formed one after charmrun
[14:01:23] <Oxford> roight roight, just making sure
[14:01:27] <Lapis> hence defining as having known each other and such
[14:01:31] <Lapis> sorry if that was confusing or something
[14:02:19] <Oxford> yeah, makes sense. Blow this thing away.
[14:02:44] <Lapis> 4d6+8+2 'kay, I'll be over here being the one that actually hits BECAUSE I HAVE NO SELF-RESTRAINT
[14:02:45] <DiceMaid-9001> Lapis, 'kay, I'll be over here being the one that actually hits BECAUSE I HAVE NO SELF-RESTRAINT: 27 [4d6=1,4,6,6]
[14:02:51] <Lapis> 2d6 JESUS
[14:02:51] <DiceMaid-9001> Lapis, JESUS: 5 [2d6=1,4]
[14:03:06] <Lapis> fuck yes I love how it always goes up to 5, 5 is the best number
[14:03:30] <Lotte> 4d6+8 I-I want to hit, too!
[14:03:30] <DiceMaid-9001> Lotte, I-I want to hit, too!: 20 [4d6=5,3,2,2]
[14:03:48] <Lapis> unless it gets 6,6,6,6,6,6,6,6,6 32 is probably gonna hit it
[14:04:14] <Oxford> 4d6+10 against Lapis
[14:04:15] <DiceMaid-9001> Oxford, against Lapis: 22 [4d6=4,2,4,2]
[14:04:23] <Lapis> Boom.
[14:04:30] <Oxford> 3d6+10 against Lotte
[14:04:30] <DiceMaid-9001> Oxford, against Lotte: 18 [3d6=3,3,2]
[14:04:35] <Lapis> Boom #2.
[14:04:41] <Oxford> Double-boom
[14:04:56] <Lapis> 1d6+8+4+2 he we go
[14:04:58] <DiceMaid-9001> Lapis, he we go: 20 [1d6=6]
[14:05:01] <Lapis> DICEMAID
[14:05:16] <Lotte> okay let's see I roll…
[14:05:19] <Oxford> (It's still up, oh god)
[14:05:25] <Lapis> not for long
[14:05:48] <Lotte> 1d6+9 3 stat, 2 team attack, +4 OC
[14:05:49] <DiceMaid-9001> Lotte, 3 stat, 2 team attack, +4 OC: 14 [1d6=5]
[14:05:55] <Lotte> Oh
[14:05:56] <Lotte> and
[14:06:03] <Lotte> +3 from magic
[14:06:05] <Lotte> on both
[14:06:17] <Lotte> So, 23 and 17
[14:06:23] <Lotte> (the 23 probably covered it)
[14:06:27] <Oxford> right, so 40 total?
[14:06:31] <Lotte> Yeah
[14:08:15] <Lapis> "GO!" And a laser beam shoots straight into the heart of the maelstrom. The intent here is to spread whatever's floating around to give Lotte a clear shot, but with such a ridiculous display of shaping air particles into FUCKING LASERS like something that would make ZUN roll in his grave, who knows anymore? Lapis gives off a satisfied smirk despite it being hot as hell on her arm-cannon. It's amazing the limb hasn't melted by now.
[14:11:38] <Lotte> The orb returned to glowing green and levitated itself in the air in front of Lotte. Tendrils of energy began to poke out of the sphere and writhe through the air. A push sent the attack flying at the maelstrom, the tendrils deflecting the various objects along the way to the eye of the storm. In the center, the tendrils multiplied and attached to as many of the objects as possible,
[14:11:39] <Lotte> siphoning away the magic animating them while the orb did the very same to the center of the psychic force, the energy it absorbed mixing black with the green. Upon reaching peak capacity, the orb met with Lapis' attack, briefly creating what appeared to be a small hole in reality.
[14:12:37] <@Oxford> The whirling furniture suddenly stops all motion, dropping to the ground and landing in a heap on the floor. More importantly, the howling inside the two girls' minds stops instantly. An eerie silence is all that remains.
[14:12:47] <Lapis> "… Holy freakin' crap, what'd we just do?"
[14:16:55] <Lotte> As her orb rolled back to her, Lotte sat down on the floor next to it as she started wiping off the tears. "Stupid… room."
[14:13:33] <Oxford> Nice Magic OC, guys. Figure you'll want to discharge before Round 5?
[14:13:42] <Lapis> you fucking bet
[14:13:56] <Lotte> 2 heart, 5 magic, 3 fury
[14:14:02] <Lapis> 1d6 fun magic flare, it's all cool because even on a bad roll my element is SHAPE
[14:14:04] <DiceMaid-9001> Lapis, fun magic flare, it's all cool because even on a bad roll my element is SHAPE: 5 [1d6=5]
[14:14:10] <Lapis> 2d6 no bad roll though
[14:14:11] <DiceMaid-9001> Lapis, no bad roll though: 5 [2d6=2,3]
[14:14:18] <Lapis> … is that
[14:14:31] <Oxford> (Speaking of, no round 5 today; gotta get to work at 4)
[14:14:34] <Lapis> WHY
[14:14:36] <Lapis> DO I ALWAYS
[14:14:38] <Lapis> GET THE BEST ONES
[14:14:48] <Lotte> 2d6 magic temp change
[14:14:49] <DiceMaid-9001> Lotte, magic temp change: 6 [2d6=3,3]
[14:15:00] <Lapis> theme music and magic voice
[14:15:03] <Lapis> god DAAAAAAAAMMNN
[14:15:08] <Lapis> latter is so suited to chaos
[14:15:14] <Lotte> Magic voice
[14:15:18] <Lotte> oh boy
[14:15:40] <Lapis> also it was 26, not 23
[14:15:47] <Lapis> crisis averted
[14:16:29] <Oxford> aw shit, forgot OC Radiation
[14:16:36] <Oxford> I knew there was a catch…
[14:16:48] <Lapis> dorp
[14:17:11] <Oxford> not a prob; take 1d6 OC to any stat that's not Magic I'll say.
[14:17:18] <Lotte> 1d6
[14:17:19] <DiceMaid-9001> Lotte, 1d6: 1 [1d6=1]
[14:17:20] <Lapis> 1d3 sure
[14:17:21] <DiceMaid-9001> Lapis, sure: 3 [1d3=3]
[14:17:25] <Lapis> fury it is

[14:17:27] <DiceMaid-9001> Lapis, 1d6: 4 [1d6=4]
[14:17:27] <Lotte> >1
[14:17:29] <Lotte> perfect
[14:17:30] <Lapis> 6 fury
[14:17:31] <Lotte> agree
[14:17:33] <Lotte> fury's 4
[14:17:34] <Lotte> so, temp change
[14:17:35] <Oxford> Damnit, best chance yet for lolisplosions
[14:17:43] <Lotte> 2d6 fury temp change
[14:17:43] <DiceMaid-9001> Lotte, fury temp change: 7 [2d6=2,5]
[14:17:50] <Lapis> 2d6 I'll just do that too
[14:17:50] <DiceMaid-9001> Lapis, I'll just do that too: 5 [2d6=1,4]
[14:17:54] <Lotte> Scarred
[14:18:01] <Lotte> …Temporary scar, okay
[14:18:07] <Lapis> >screaming
[14:18:09] <Lapis> oh DICEMAID
[14:19:00] <Oxford> That's perma?
[14:19:14] <Lapis> mine is, yeah
[14:19:18] <Lotte> that's really gonna ruin some dates for Lapis
[14:19:21] <Lapis> ;_;
[14:19:35] <Oxford> Phermones + Screaming
[14:19:55] <Lapis> pheromones is temp ;_;
[14:20:09] <Oxford> wot a shame
[14:20:12] <Lotte> I have temporary scarring, I don't even
[14:19:45] <Lapis> A grin, letting the armor converge again. Lapis walked over as quickly as she was able, ignoring the furniture on the ground. patting the girl on the head like an older sister figure— though she may not seem it, really. "You okay, kid? This one seemed A LOT TOUGHER THAN THE REST!" The shout came out angry-sounding and with a bit of a shriek in her voice as well. "… Oops."
[14:24:13] <Lotte> Lotte hadn't entirely calmed down from having her closest relationships shredded, so her voice was a little shaky when she pleaded, "Please lower your voice, I have a headache."
[14:25:26] <Lapis> A slow nod before taking a deep breath and speaking again. "Yeah… sorry. I think IT'S THE MAGIC AGAIN" Cutting herself off, poor Lotte's wrist is grasped and lifted with the tiniest whisper, "… let's just go." And a dash to the door is there a door? There better be a door.
[14:29:32] <Lotte> Lotte picked up the orb, but squeaked loudly and dropped it. It stung pretty bad… Never done that before. Looking down, she noticed her hands appeared to have some old scars from a severe burn. They were… not pretty. "M-m-my hands!" It didn't hurt anymore, but she balled up her fists and folded her arms, making the ball float along after her.
[14:32:06] <@Oxford> There was indeed a door - looming on the far wall, with a large "5" in the center and a green light next to it. Their objective had to be close - above the door was a small but clear sign reading: "Exit."
